Good Sunday, Mr. Kenchan!!! :tiphat:

hello, mr.onzedge!

yah, our HOA prohibits the use of air tools or any commercial tool use so i need to rely on electric tools. :( it's the noise associated with the pump and impact noise. our community hates people that work on cars... basically if they find an immobile car on the driveway due to work-in-progress with no wheels, etc they will send warnings. then fine.

part of living in a community that likes to be clean. :D the good is we never have to see rusty garbage parked in the visitors lots (will be towed immediately), no commercial vans on driveways, etc. so it's okay by me.

ive personally reported ugly cars to be towed if they sit there more than 2-3 days without a permit. :icon17:

Got up before the sun was up to go Caffeine and Octane here in GA. Big turn out. I tell you all car shows should be in the morning. Makes it that much more enjoyable. Especially being the first cool morning we Ga guys have had in awhile.

The new Berk units are supposed to be made with adjustable tips. Mine came with tips welded, not adjustable. So did Berk go back after all the complaining about protruding, uneven tips that the owner needs to cut in order to fit properly? Or did I get inventory from the prior batch? Honestly, I don't care, the exhaust sounds amazing and fitment was 100% perfect, tips aren't too tucked and don't stick out too much either.

Just want to quote myself to see if anyone has any comments

Call and ask berk. You may have gotten an older unit, or they may have gone back. They're pretty helpful if you call.

We do not have an HOA in our neighborhood; even so, everyone takes a good amount of pride in appearances. We live in a part of Sacramento that is very old and kind of tucked away -- most houses were built in the 20's and 30's with our house built in 1938.

The main problem we have is with "outsiders" iusing our streets as shortcuts and driving way too fast on our narrow streets. I am pretty sure if folks were doing car work out front of their homes regularly, or leaving non-operational cars laying about -- peer pressure would be applied first.

Luckily I have a concrete pad between the house and the garage so none of our car repairs/mods/maintenance is visible, really.

OK I am rambling now so I am done.

Z work today = nada.

good to hear you have no issue with working on your cars. as long as i keep the car im working on inside the garage HOA doesn't seem to care....although ive had a couple of nosy newb members come up to my garage with their stupid clipboards and nitpick i was doing car work commercially, etc. which i wasn't.

our community was lucky enough to stop the village from connecting our side street to the adjacent 4lane road so we dont have people cutting through our neighborhood...well, usually. they come and find it's a deadend and u-turn back. i stare at them with a :gtfo2: look. :icon17:

Well...date "afternoon" was a success. ;) drove wife in z....First we had sushi at our favorite place. Would you believe this sashimi bento box was only 9.95? Talk about value. It's the best sushi in town too.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMAG0087.jpg

Then we did some shopping at the mall...got stopped by an older man in his 50s in the best buy parking lot as I was removing bugs lol. He commented on my z and asked if I loved my car Hehe. He wanted to test drive one.

After that, I kenchaned the z to the local dealership. I saw a gunmetal z in person finally, at least I think it was. It's pretty in person, tho i must admit I love my pearl White more. ;) anyways I was looking at the sticker... It was a base too...with sport, but I think prices went up since my 2010??? Regardless, it was a fun date overall.

Thanks bro, we gotta polish your whip up next, this wax would look so good on your car, it's meant for darker paints. Hows the exhaust sounding?

Dude, I love it so much. I just want to drive my car all day long with the windows down.

happytheman 09-04-2011 09:40 PM

My wife and I went and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton last evening in Orlando, and while the resort was nice I was quite surprised when the valet brought me my car. Even though I know those guys valet Mercs and BMWs as well as many other (and more expensive) fine cars all day long he took the time to compliment my Z! It never gets old hearing someone say "that's a really nice vehicle, sir!" I can do without the sir bit...but whatev.

I know what you guys are thinking "I would never valet my car". Well, I generally don't, but this place was a real class act. I also paid the guy well to take care of her for me. :)

Ricardo2.0 09-04-2011 09:52 PM

Today i just admire my car park at the garage all day long.

I retired my Z from DD duty and picked up a new Altima.

Z is now a weekend car.

Skeeterbop 09-04-2011 10:10 PM

I drove my car in the rain for the first time today. Who would think ot would take 7200 miles and 5 months to manage that one.

There are (perhaps surprisingly so) a number of people on here whose z has NEVER seen inclement weather. Mine is def not one of them!

Thanks! 2.5S sedan. The CVT is smooth and the ride is so comfortable and quiet. Its perfect for the daily grind stuck in stop and go traffic and it doesn't drink premium.

Posted a pic in the Mid-A forums.

happytheman 09-04-2011 10:19 PM

Meh, my last ride took premium...and I drove it for 9 yrs. I'm pretty much used to it by now! I don't know if I should :) or :(

Yea my last ride also took premium, drove it for 7 years before getting the Z. I am actually excited I can go fill up now and not have to pick 93. Thats pretty sad huh? :rofl2:

Mine don't see snow and barely has been driven in the rain. That is why I have a "huptie" as a DD and the old lady has a SUV.

True, the only reason i made it so long is because i was at fort hood, tx. I think i did pretty good for it being a dd.

kenchan 09-05-2011 07:05 AM

I drove mine in the pouring rain with almost no visibility to ck my DW's performance about a month ago. :D
I do this on occassion to test footing.

Going to pull out my Z in 30. :p
