^^ Ive heard of this before, the only one getting a deal out of it will be Nissan. Don't get rid of your Z. Weather it's worth it money wise just depends on if you owe anything or not on the car but in the end your going to lose money either way. Don't do it!

No Z action today, although the poo poo was blocking me in the parking space tonight after work. He would not even move when I threw on my burn a hole in your skull LED reverse lights. Ahh...then I realized he just wanted to check out my LED strip.
Christian370z, if it's too good to be true then it must be false. |
Bought lots of goodies!
Haven't added up the total yet (don't think I want to with rego which is approx $1000 coming up in a few days). Navtool Front/Rear Sony CCD Cameras Switch for the front camera Illuminated Kick Plates Nismo black aluminum shift knob R35 GTR start button! They are coming in from all over the world so it'll probably take about two weeks to arrive. I'll update with some pics when they turn up |

Might add if they say you got a deal, tell them to give the new car to the buyer and you will keep yours. |
Drove the Z to the gym :tup:

Drove the Z only to get the winter wheels mounted with the new Blizzaks for fun in Germany during the winter!
As I was hanging out at the coffee bar inside my dealer the OWNER actually approached me with a strange looking round piece of metal. In his best english he told me there was a 'problem' and I should come back to the service area. He showed me the problem! The top of the wheel lock had broken off the left rear wheel as they were completing the mounting of it. So about 3/4ths of it was left on the stud. He was very concerned about how this would come off in terms of potential wheel damage. I told him no worries. Just do the best you can and if you scratch the wheel I will live with it(its a winter wheel, yes its a Rays 19 sport) or order a used one off the web here if possible etc. I am so happy this occurred at the dealer and not on the Autobahn in the snow, cold or rain :) Plus the OWNER actually continued to PERSONALLY work on my car! :) How many dealer owners ANYWHERE would make such an effort and at times he had 1 or 2 other helpers working the issue. SUCCESS! Using a fine and sharp, strong punch he coaxed the remaining piece to slowly turn left for removal. Set of needle nose plyers and slowly and methodically the piece was safely removed with ZERO damage!! Wooohooooo! At that point I asked that all wheel locks be removed and replaced with normal Z lugs. They can have the wheel locks brother!! Here is a pic of the damage with all the other good ones. My guess is that it was over torqued and had a fine crack on it. The interior of both pieces have rust from moisture intruding! Car is fine and had a full alignment as well. Great day which could have been far far more painful!! |

hahaha. dang how come no girls call me at 3am asking for me to come over. or maybe i am and wife is just erasing them. :icon17: |
@DLSTR
I've had a similar problem on my 3000gt where one lug was on so tight it had to be snapped off (believe me, we tried everything) breaking the stud! Your right though, if either of our problems were to have arisen after a flat tire on the highway especially in bad weather conditions it would have been a lot worse |
DLSTR- dang!

Drove the Z through some Napa twisties on my way to a winery for work! I'm totally not use to the feel of the car yet. The clutch, steering, size and power delivery are very different from my Evo and my old miata. Geez, I still haven't found a solid seating position and mirror settings! Maybe another month and I'll be ready to push it a little harder.

I was in the drive-thru tonight and heard a kid tell his friend "hey is that an R8?" while pointing at my car.

mr.onzedge- TGIF! :tup: glad to hear you're liking the swifts. :D did you get rear camber arms or no? I forget. i psi'ed my Z's tires last night in prep for some :driving: motoring tomorrow. :p no concrete sus mods planned for my Z yet. that new illuminating sw i wired up to my garage is working out nicely. i likes it a lot now that i have confirmation whether i turned off the light or not in the utility room. :icon17: not related to car, but gotz my decidated keyboard stand for my digital piano last night. :yum: |

http://www.the370z.com/members/onzed...amber-amrs.jpg Mr. ZForce and his brother (they each have a 370) are coming over tomorrow with their Z's to do some comparison driving and photo shooting. They both have the Stillen sways and I have Hotchkis -- we want to compare and contrast the two setups. All three of the Z's have Swifts. If all goes well, we may take the Echo out. :icon17: |

huh, should be fun comparing the two swaybar setups. :tup: please keep us posted on the reviews. :p it's great that you have the swaybars as ive found typically lowering springs have initial softer bump making turn-ins less responsive, but with swaybars that looseness is eliminated. ive been thinking about getting coilovers, but nothing concrete. i really want to just swap out the dampers. i think what's going to happen is i will decide to do a refresh or not at 4th yr of ownership. considering i will only have one day to drive the car out of the entire week starting April 2013, i may end up not doing any further mods and just drive it as she is today for the rest of ownership (9-10yrs total)... while spending $ modding a new 4seater coupe/hatch i will get that year to replace my aging G. :p |

Just got back from Baker Tuning here in Houston to discuss my Nismo bumper conversion, spacer install, door handle paint, and fog light install. Got the full tour from Brad Baker and Paul Morgan.
Absolutely great guys and an awesome facility. Met master tech Jason, and was highly impressed. Looks like the next project after this one will be springs, just need to get comfortable with the new bumper and my driveway. Saw Dreamer's car - ouch! But it's in capable hands. Cool ride BTW. The mods are a go - parts being ordered today. If all goes well, it could conceivably be finished by the end of next week. Pics will follow. |
