haha... yes, I think in my post I mentioned I was able to park in the front spots at both locations (sushi restaurant and movie). So I take the front first spot, then inch over close to/on the line. As long as I take the front first spot, I don't impinge on someone else's spot. But yes, no dings for me. That's another big no no.

No Z for me today. Had to take the Odyssey to the body shop today. I come home last night, and my wife says to me, "Honey, I think you are going to be mad at me...." The minute I hear that, I start thinking what did she do to MY Z...... luckily, it wasn't the Z, but the Odyssey had a scraped passenger mirror from her "maneuvering" in the work parking ramp. Sigh... I should have taken a pic. So, I had to get it repainted today. My wife and her driving.... eeeeeeeeeeeek.

So guys, if your wives/gf's ever say those magic words, "I think you are going to be mad at me.". ALWAYS assume the worst....

On to better topics, I found this pic of my Z taken a few weeks ago, and forgot all about it. So looking at my Z last night and tinkering around in it plus playing with her pics, made me feel better about that Odyssey mishap... :(

G2Z- yah, usually front spots are where dings occur so i was a bit  but heck you know wat you're doing so i trust it's safe. for me i have PDR training and tools so it's not a huge deal to get dings but it's better not to have one in the first place. :p

sorry to hear about your van. :( hope it's a quick fix. at least it wasn't your Z! wheew... worst ones are 'honey i backed into your Z' threads.

Laparoscopic surgery for Endometriosis.

Hope everything goes okay and I was wrong and she is actually getting Breast implants. ;)

Yeah PDR can only do so much.... if the dent took some paint with it? or if you can't buff it out? eeeek... that's a repaint.

Spohn, best of luck.

ZeeingAround 08-02-2011 10:01 AM

FromG2Z,

Did you do a HDR on the photos?

yep, this is why i have a HondaFit to use for restaurants and malls. :p

on that car i can careless if i get hit (wife already let the Fit eat a tire stop on the bottom of the front bumper, yay! ) and it's a narrow car so it seems nearly impossible to get dinged unless one was intentionally hitting the car on purpose. :icon14:

No sir... that's just a basic edit in NX2. Made sure the exposure was up to par. I don't have the fancy stuff that Beach has where you can filter certain sections. :)

I think the key is having a great shot to start out with... and I think my D60 does it well.

Yeah I have a Honda Civic for those duties, but I still take the Z with me when I go on a date with the wifey.... Friday nights usually. Otherwise, she never gets to ride in it. So I figure, it's worth the risk to take the wife out in it. So much fun. She loves riding in it. Besides, she's the one who "let" me buy it.... must take her in it :D I just have to be very smart and careful about where I drive/park it. The clear bra REALLY helps lower my tension and worry and apprehension hehe....

Ok, after tune I ended up w 314 whp & 260 ft lbs torque. Was hopin to be around 320 but oh well. Baseline was 299 before tune so the UpRev gave me 15hp, not bad. It revs amazingly smooth now and feels much quicker. Props to the guys at R/T Tuning in PA. Very cool dudes, great experience. Oh and I ALMOST got my stock suspension settings back after installin Swifts. I have just a tad more camber than stock, im ok w that :)

Drove the Z to work. Drove the Z to lunch. Could not get back into my work site because my tags were expired. Doh! Drove to DMV. In and out in 5 minutes. That's right, 5 minutes. DMV express at the Commissioner of Revenue's office ROCKS! Drove back to work.

***Please note: No reference to other posts, other threads, photography, or mowing lawns (that is what all the kids are calling it these days). That is all... :happydance:

Then in that case, your post is void because you are OFF TOPIC. :gtfo2:

kidding... wow, 5 minutes in and out? You should have taken an HDR pic (reference to photography). Did you park on the grass (reference to mowing lawns) to get in and out that fast? You should see this other thread called "DMV Horror Stories" (reference to other threads) to get you in and out faster.

hehehe.

onzedge 08-02-2011 01:59 PM

I am starting a lawn care and mowing thread soon. Look for it in the lounge. It will be chock full of mowing tips, "my fertilizer is better than yours" threads, mower mods, gas or electric discussions, high performance weed whacking strings, JDM accessories for your fertilizer spreader and, of course, photos.

It is amazing how much smoother the car runs after a tune, I was amazed too even though my hp gains were not as high as yours. Good job on the camber! I had no trouble getting it close to stock camber which is why I find it a bit strange that some people's camber is so far off after installing the Swifts and getting an alignment.

Where is this R/T Tuning? I'm looking for somewhere near me to get a tune and I need a post-Swift alignment as well.

FromG2Z 08-02-2011 03:42 PM

guys... question for you guys... why all this special needs for an alignment post Swift springs? Can't you guys just take it to any local wheel/tire/alignment place? Does it have to be special? Heck dealer (I shudder when I say that) even. I am just curious... maybe you guys know something I need to know.

it really depends on the tech doing the alignment and how well the machine is caliberated. often times i only go to alignment shops by word of mouth of other car guys getting similar cars aligned.

luckily more and more speedshops in my area have alignment equipment since they install coilovers, etc. so they know how to handle my modded cars better than just some guy at some local mechanics shop.

your dealer can do it, but sometimes they will scratch or even wash your car even if you tell them not to. :icon17:

ouch, :( ...when you use high-end camera and zoom in like that it REALLY points out the damage like 'ouch' becomes an OUCH U MOFO!!!

today the kenchan-G got pulled over by a trans-am cop. he said i flew through the corner blowing a red light and was going like 80mph cause he saw me and couldn't catch up. i did zip through the corner, but i know the light was still yellow, i could've went faster through the turn but didn't, wasn't at the top of 2nd so i know i wasn't over the speed limit. so i said in my usual calm courteous voice 'no.'

he checked out my car and gave me back my license with no citation. :p

I'll have to search. OS Giken has there own fluid (80w- 250)so it was easy for me.

EDIT: From everything I see everyone is using Motul 300 75w-90. I think you need two bottles also. You will have to confirm that. Your lucky, my fluid cost alot more.

Probably was drop shipped.Should of been put in another box with more bubble wrap. These shipping companies are getting bad.

yes, literally "drop" shipped right? Geez... Thing is it went to Z1 first.
