CrownR426 01-31-2011 04:47 AM

You guys in Florida, Texas, California must be loving the Z's...
Us North Eastern folks have to wait 2 more months...

Yup! I was at the beach yesterday!

But last Tuesday, a nasty storm came through and gave the Tampa Bay area 14 tornados.

RockStarKick 01-31-2011 10:49 AM

I passed by it in the garage while leaving for work in my other car.. But it looked so clean, I waxed it yesterday with that Meguairs NXT....

if it's on the ground i use to do it once every 3 weeks. since my cars are on flatstoppers i probably wont need to do it for 2-3 months but i turn them every 4wks just to be sure.

TheGreatOne 01-31-2011 09:28 PM

I drove it around in my underground parking, she is sleeping till March 15th (picked her up Friday so this is torture)

Mt Tam I am 01-31-2011 10:23 PM

I was trapped behind a Prius half way to work, and another all the way home. I'm burning coal in retaliation.

Svre46 02-01-2011 05:56 PM

I have been collecting all of the basic bolt ons :)

Just ordered some Swift springs today.

shoopajae10 02-01-2011 05:59 PM

I drove it around this snow storm here in Dallas. =)

shoopajae10 02-01-2011 06:00 PM

Yes, i would consider this slight bit of frozen layer of ice a snow storm.

Its Texas!!

Dropped it off for New Coilovers :excited:

kenchan 02-01-2011 09:58 PM

Went to ck on my cars to find blowing snow in the garage near the ends of the garage door...so used my Griots wash mitt pole and propped it to my flatstoppers to keep the door from getting pushed away from the wall from the 40mph gusts. Used a toilet wedge to lock it in place. :D

That is a lot of snow. Good solution. The Z is even part of the solution.

lemme kick it off. being the gorgeous day that it was today 24 degrees, i just had to take the Z out for a spin. drove an hour away to some decent "mountain" trails and had a few canyon runs with the windows down. gotta say. perfect day.

edit. the internet can be a harsh place so any flamers out there who want a piece of me for starting this "useless" thread. flame suit already on. =]

Huge blizzard here in Montreal. Drove it cautiously through the city to get to work and was thankful for no red lights on the top of hills. If every day was like this I would have to give it up. But for the 3 to 5 times a year when the ploughs can’t keep up, it’s worth a slow drive to work with the dance tunes cranked up, the clenched butt cheeks, the white knuckles and the peripheral vision on high alert for the stupid drivers who think a 1998 civic can’t slide in the snow!

Thats balls that you've drove today...I would totally be worried about other nuckleheads on the road

If you have a sec, PM me what winter set up you have, I'm contemplating if I will drive this beast next winter, just picked her up last week but shes sitting in the garage

THanks!

Well I have to admit that as I am watching all the struggling cars from my office window I think I may leave it at work tonight. It’s really a mess out there and apart from the yahoos out there, and as much as I love this car, it’s not built for this. The very slightest pressure on the gas peddle can get it out of control. Even the 4 wheel drives vehicles are struggling today so I am not ashamed to say my puppy is defeated!!

TypeOne 02-02-2011 12:01 PM

I drove behind a R34 GTR on the way to work this morning...

I also had to let my car warm up for 15 mins because it was 20 *F outside.

F I hate the cold.

sctdixon 02-02-2011 12:14 PM

Looked at a pic of it as it's parked away for the Michigan winter :-(

younter 02-02-2011 12:36 PM

I guess I should clean it before it gets heavier

Ha? At 0F I drive off with no warming up. Just drive gently until water temp is at normal temps. Cars are designed to work down to -40F/C.
