Sometimes you'll see small amounts of condensation on the inside, but it should go away fairly quickly and not be a chronic problem. Almost all head and tail lamp assemblies I've seen are indeed vented. Just keep an eye on it...the good news is that it is under warranty if it's serious problem.

I'm going to be switching my MT fluid over to Redline later this week. I'll let you guys know if it makes any difference to the feel of the 1-2 shift.

I thought the blind spots were terrible too until I realized just how short the the car is from the driver's seat to the tail.

I wish the doors would automatically lock when you exit the car, after the intellikey moves out of range for example. Is there a way to program this?

The Corvettes do this, it is a nice feature. There's no way to do this with our cars, the range bubble is very limited.

The point is that the majority of Z owners do not drive it in the winter months where there is snow. It is not the most graceful of cars, even with winter tires, and its height from the ground also means moderate snowfall will trap it.

Default Convex Mirrors = FTW

I agree with a lot of the shortfalls listed in this thread. But all-in-all, I love my new 307z.

Fix # 1 on my Z was the blind spots. I put a 2" convex mirror on both outside mirrors. They were the smallest size that PepBoys had. But e-shopping a bit, I see there are some 1.5" ones out there.

They don't look bad, imo -- especially compared to the added safety during lane-changes, etc.

I'll try to post a couple pics in this post asap...

Here they are. The convex mirrors I got can be adjusted in all directions inside their bezel (like a joystick). So you can adjust your regular mirrors and then fine-tune your convexes. I liked that idea best when shopping for them, and it works good:

Driver’s side from inside (window rolled up). Notice how much further past my brick piller you can see in the convex vs the regular mirror:

Driver’s side from outside:

Passenger’s side from inside driver’s seat (close-up, window rolled down). Notice you can even see the tail-end of the car parked next to me in the convex mirror:

Passenger’s side from outside:

IMO, Molamann is right in his thinking. It's still a good idea to swivel your head around. The mirrors do add some visibility though, especially to that huge passenger's side blind spot for the lane to your right.

And yup, that's our Murano parked in front of the Z. We had matching Muranos at one time (traded my wife's chevy pickup in on one, then traded my maxed-out Titan for another - WTF was I thinking?). Anyway... long saga short, we now have one Murano left and I am finally back in a Z - and it is the best sports car I've ever owned.
