Are these claims on the 370Z for real?

The history behind this claim is from when Car and Driver went out on the track with stock pads and crashed the car due to brake failure. They gave a terrible review in 2008 I think it was. Morons.

You can't track the car in stock form. It needs some basic upgrades. But there are absolutely no issues with street driving or short bursts of spirited driving in stock form.

I mean it's small and aluminum. Don't go toe to toe with an SUV or bridge abutment.
