Really different for many of us. Mine was tight and that didn't work. Wrapped mine with good amount of duct tape, a towel, and large jaw vice grip.

I invited Chuck Norris over and he scared my shift knob off
 Actually I used this with a breaker bar and some massive plyers on the shifter shaft...
