Shift Knob Removal -All you need

I broke two of those strap wrenches when removing my stock knob.

I had two strap wrenches, unfortunately neither of them provided enough leverage. I ended up wrapping my shift knob with a bunch of painters tape and using a huge pipe wrench. It was still a b!tch to get off! One tiny little nick on the stock knob.

I was almost at that point. I was literally sweating trying to loosen that sucker up.

Was it a craftsman strap wrench? Cause the strap on this is seriously thick on the large one ...no way you could break it on a knob.
