So I installed some AAM resonated Ti short tails on the 370z nismo. Posted a couple days that i had mixed feelings. There is some 2,800 RPM drone that almost makes me cringe. Its like a subwoofer going off in my ear. Hatch vibrates too.

I LOVE the WOT sound. My first thought was... how do I get rid of this damn drone. My old man is a vette guy, has a c7 and c6. They have butterfly/active baffled exhausts. I could fab up something similar... although, i'm going FI TT, so i guess it's just a waste of time.

Anyone try to calm the drone on the short tails?

Did my own headlights with some good quality lightings as I didn't like the morimoto ones. They looked like traffic lights on my Z.

They will be restored to 100% when I find a trust worthy restorer.
Fcccuking SomOfABeech!!!!!!! Errrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

Wifey not home, garage half empty, so it was a good time to try out the seats...

Only to realize touring seats aren't plug and play specifically to 09-10 base/Nismo. My 09 doesn’t come with the 3rd plug for the seat motor!!!!!! I can't adjust the seating position...pwned

All other researches showed plug and play install, but those are 11 and up base cars that generously come with the extra plug (taped up under the seat, unused). Found a post that a guy suffered same fate previously.

I added a bunch of additional sound deadening material (dynamat-type stuff) in the rear spare tire well area, as well as underneath the plastic trim on the hatch, and even some on the exterior above where the short tails sit on that flat part of that trunk bottom. (Underneath the little aluminum shield piece if you still have it.) It has helped significantly with keeping things quiet in the cabin. Although for my setup the drone is more in the 3k-3,200rpm area and is only momentary/transient so it's not too bothersome, but the extra sound insulation definitely helps. YMMV.

Picked up some oil... i have been using mobil 1 0w40 on my supercharged HR for a few years now. (stillen + v1 TG A-A kit) Anyone else running 0w40 on their supercharged Z's?

My initial thought was... Blackstone results show that using 0w40 has shown less wear. Especially on forced induction. But, then I thought about the gallery gasket issue. Maybe using 0w40 was bumping up the oil pressure when there was a failing/failed gallery gasket and thus... seeing less metals in the oil. Anywhooo... was a thought I had.

I have to warm up my car for 10-15 minutes before I can go out driving... oil pressure at idle is at 120psi with 0w40.

Any good 0 40 oil will do. I ran Mobil 1 40 several years in my TT Z.

Default I put a STP fuel additive...

I feel sad that times flies and the 370Z gets finally discontinued in this 2021.

Good bye, the best affordable naturally-aspirated sports car in 2010s.

Damn, I feel like the year 2012 (which I had purchased my 370Z) was just like some days ago...

The youth doesn't just pass by, but it does evaporate.
