The top of the filter was chrome, I painted it wrinkle finish black. The coolant cap was raw aluminum, I painted it wrinkle finish also.

New Box for the Shockwave was installed today. No issues and fit and finish of the piece was better than the one it replaced. I had picked up my exhaust used and it was my thought that it was one of the older builds. The welds on the new piece looked great, specifically the ones on the muffler itself, which were ground and polished smooth. Again, fit and finish were top notch. No complaints of the old piece, just happy to see that Motordyne has continued to improve on their products over the years.

Best part: exhaust is back to sounding like a true ART pipe + Shockwave monster and my power feels smoother and stronger throughout the power band.

Yesterday I picked up some ARP wheel studs, Hotchkis billet sway bar bushings and MTec clutch springs from a local forum member

Been making me a Covid-19 pure carbon fiber hood. I'm nearly done with the mold. I need to put a reinforcements on the mold, BUT i'm pretty damn excited how this is moving along now.

I ordered my beauty layer of carbon fiber today! "Silver Aluminized Carbon Fiber". The hood will be 4 layers in total, middle two layers will be heavy duty 12k CF. End goal is to have a Sunoco style hood to accomodate my engine (and possible other people's needs).Full information in my build thread (figured I'd pop up for some air in these parts).

The Snap-on 1/2 to 3/8 drive adaptor/36 inch extension along with Snap-on 14mm swivel socket were doing ok but I could tell the 3/8 drive wasn't quite enough. I had a Harbor Freight 3/8 drive impact universal swivel that was in between them and as soon as I put any force on it the thing broke apart (repairable but not able to withstand the demon bolt torque).
Success came from a Snap-on 1/2 drive 14mm impact swivel socket and 1/2 drive Snap-on impact universal swivel along with a smorgasbord of 1/2 extensions and a 24 inch Harbor Freight breaker bar.
Just goes to show what having the right tools can do for you. I didn't even have to lean into it with my body weight and it took all of about 30 second including me getting under the car to make sure the socket was fully seated on the bolt head.

I don't believe you. You had to pay someone to work on your Z. Because you DON'T work on your Z. You just collect parts.
