My nice new and clean epoxy floor lasted 4 years before giving up the ghost. Between the kick stands on bikes, floor jacks, welding and fabricating. That stuff is hard on the floor. So be careful. ;)

I can see the jack stands may be a problem for the epoxy.

1/4" plywood cut an inch bigger than the base of the jack stand helps. If you have a heavy vehicle. Then 1/2' plywood. Floor jacks are another issue.

Thanks for the tip, I was thinking of doing something like that. I just look at it as inevitable that the floor's going to get jacked up.

The car is at the paint shop for the next few days having the rear bumper resprayed and having the emblem shaved and filled. $550 for everything. I guess my GF should start side swiping the car more often....

Removed the spare tire, carpeted where the spare tire usually goes, and replaced the flimsy plastic piece under the carpet with 1/4" thick polycarbonate.

Unfortunately the nitrous bottle doesn't clear so I'm going to have to figure out something there

I've always been a fan of the gym bag technique.

B&W_Evader 10-04-2017 10:29 AM

Put about 150 miles of canyon driving on the Z in the last 3 days.:happydance: Need to wash the bugs off of her now.

I might cut a hole in the carpet and polycarbonate and let the tip of the bottle poke through

I'm still getting use to the look. Had the rear bumper painted and the emblem area filled. It's throwing me off a bit. Still very clean looking now though.

That's why I put a vinyl decal on where the emblem used to be. Still looks clean

That sounds different. Can you show a photo of yours? Best I was thinking was re-adding the 370z emblems back to the left hand side. I feel like it's missing to much now.

I plan to shave the back emblem and replace with a FairladyZ badge right in the middle.

mine is on the front bumper though so it's not going to be the same.

( Click to show/hide )

That's actually not a bad idea. I may go that route, but leave the emblem on the lefthand side still. Just needs something to break up the monotony.

After my break-in period I changed my oil and switched to Mobil 1 5w-30. I've used it in all my vehicles with great results. My Jeep with a 3.7 V-6 just turned 100k with no issues or leaks.

I went old school. Check out my pics in my albulm. I get tons of compliments on it.
You'll have to shave the nubs off the back of the badge and bend it to fit our bumper. Z1 sells them for about $50

I was leaning that way - looks great. Think I am pretty sold on it now.
