Added a Next Level Performance carbon splitter. Its nice when a local friend changes things up and gives you a good deal on parts.

So far, I've ordered everything from Crutchfield. These run $40, and after just installing them and making tweaks to the system... MAJOR IMPROVEMENT! And they'll only get better with a little break-in and more tweaking. I actually plan on running the calibration mic this weekend and running the auto time alignment and auto tune, though I'm going to document my current "tuned by ear" settings, because it already sounds pretty darn good.

I have these crossed over at 1.25 kHz at 12 dB (was at 8 kHz with the stockers - yuck). I now have the door speakers crossed over at 1.25 kHz at 24 dB on the top end and still 40 Hz at 24 dB on the bottom end. I ran the system for a solid hour with all of the tweaking and listening.

As for fitment, they fit perfectly though the mounting holes don't line up perfectly. Once you get one screw in, the other is slightly past, so you can't put that screw in. I'll do one of two things this weekend. Either leave them as is and put the two other screws in on the sides with small fender washers, OR I'll try seeing if the included panel clips and screws that came with the speakers works better with proper alignment.

Now a few pics...

Just bought these based on your post! Hopefully they sound better even with the stock HU

I got it second hand. The original owner had to drill the mounting holes, but he said there were indentions in the splittler for the holes. It replaces the hard plastic piece that bolts to the bumper and mounts to those holes. NLP has a good underneath pic. I'm not going to use support rods.

The underside of the bumper isn't smooth, so there are some ~1/8" gaps between the bumper and splittler, but not really seen unless you are on your knees. You actually gain some ground clearance. I used 1/2" spaces where the bumper curves in the middle. Fitment is very good. I will most likely purchase the side blades.

I have the ZSpeed CMAK and it's been rock solid.

You may want to reconsider the spitter rods depending on how much your splitter sticks out in front of your front bumper and how much your car is lowered but if you are driving at a high rate of speed and have to brake your nose is going to dive and the down force from the splitter will dive it into the pavement. Take it from me as I lost my last splitter because of that!

I did an oil change, installed a ZSpeed under shroud to replace the torn up plastic one, and installed some O2 spacers that have catalytic mesh in them so I can pass emissions.

I bought mine in 2013. So I'm wonder if they decided to include that after my thread came out. Anyone else who bought the under tray get the rivet nuts too?

I got one of their first under trays for the 2015 nismo conversion (before they even listed it on their site) so I don't know if I'm a special case or not

That is the one. The base is named in memory of astronaut and Indiana native Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom, who, along with fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger Chaffee, perished in the Apollo 1 fire at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 34 in 1967.
