I'm sure as heck NOT going to settle and put these things on my car. No thank you.

It might be worth noting that they could be out for the holiday break. Alot of businesses slow down during this time of year.

Decided to paint my Invidia tips black to match my black badges. Got to say, they look awesome!! Once I cure them, they'll be installed.

Stopped by my Old Man’s garage and knocked out a few things I’ve had on my to do list:

- Bled clutch fluid; was original on 37k miles and looking grimey. I didn’t go with anything fancy, just OEM equivalent
- Readjusted Motordyne Shockwave; had loosened up and was starting to clang on the crossbrace
- Installed Nismo suspension; was laying around for a few months and I finally gave it a go

Always fun to put work into the ride. Extra fun when it’s with the guy that got me into cars and Zs in the first place!

Didn’t get time to install the new MD 5” burnt Ti tips....

I brought my Z into the shop and performed a under hood and under vehicle inspection. Check and corrected all of the fluids including each cell for the battery. Set tire pressure to specification and changed my oil and drained and filled my cooling system. I also changed my engine air filters and my cabin filter. I used all OEM fluids and parts.

For those of you that are nervous about getting air in the cooling system, don't be. Once you close the drain valve, open the air bleed plug/valve on the left top corner of the radiator. Slowly fill the radiator until coolant starts to come out of the air bleed plug/valve. Then, install the plug and continue to fill the radiator until coolant is above the upper hose where the radiator cap is. Install the radiator cap. Also ensure the coolant bottle is filled between the minimum and maximum lines.

Start the car with the coolant bottle cap off. Let the car run until operating temperature is achieved and make sure your fans come on and that your thermostat opens up by feeling the lower hose. Install your coolant reservoir cap after making sure the coolant bottle is filled within specification. Drive your vehicle for a few miles and then come back and check your coolant reservoir and add coolant as needed. :tiphat:

I will drain and fill my coolant when I do my next two oil changes. This should get out all of the old coolant from the system. My Z is at 50K miles. I bought her brand new. I will be also installing new PCV valves and spark plugs when I change my oil next time as well. Maintenance is the key. :tiphat:

I'm late to the game, installed the z1 intakes. LOVE the sound!!! I don't understand why the sound isn't discussed enough, it's just a night/day difference, a lot louder than I expected :stirthepot:

Install was easy except I forgot about one thing: The STUPID bolt that holds in that rectangular plastic piece from the stock inlet (by the radiator where you slip the z1 hose through, most people trim this section). Wish I'd paid closer attention to the videos online. One thing I Found: It didn't seem like you really needed to take the whole bumper off, just undo the sides, and top, and pull it back a bit.

Not sure on the whole power aspect...so will need to drive more, but I did hammer it in 1st to 2nd, and it seemed to move a little hastier...

I picked up an RJM rev 2.1 clutch pedal from MikeUCFL and installed it this afternoon. For being such a simple process it was such a pain in the *** working under the dash with long arms. My hand looks like a cat attacked me.

But it's done now, and the difference is night and day. It feels like the way a clutch pedal should feel.

scope22 01-05-2019 06:29 PM

Left it at Z1 for EPS 70mm thorttle body + aam MAFs + Arc HFC + tune

Finally a day with no rain and above avg temps. Thought I might drop one of these in, wasn't too bad besides running into an issue here or there. Seat belt indicator remained off and didn't have to program.

:iagree:

I cracked the lens cover for the light bulb on the visor when I put LEDs in. I want to say that was in 2013 (so going on 6 years lol). Still haven't replaced it. I don't even think the visor has been flipped down once since then.

Jayhovah 01-07-2019 11:44 AM

Just finished up yesterday... brake fluid flush/bleed and new front brake rotors.

Suggestions for best way to crack these things? My wife has the most annoying habit of flipping down the visor to do something makeup related just as I am needing to turn/veer right in traffic. Totally blocks my vision. She also apparently has severe hearing loss in her left ear and the world's worst short-term memory when I kindly ask her not to do that.

That looks very good in the car. What do you think of the overall build quality/rigidity? I'm looking at braum's fixed bucket seats since the Turn One Cup seat i have is no longer in production (so i cannot find a matching passenger)

Try and change the bulb lol

As an alternative, I will say that the divorce worked pretty well for me in hindsight. I don't recommended it if you can avoid it though. Best of luck with the situation :ugh:

Replacement mirrors and lenses are cheap. Even without comparing them to the cost of a female spouse. Much more so when you do. However, not so much when you factor in the insurance hike after an accident due to the hindered vision from the visor being down. At least her makeup looked good

The dragon is a piece of cake compared to the track. I with Jar, not much gets sick. My first year at ZDAYZ I had the business manager from Fast Intentions drive my car that first morning on the Dragon because I had a stomach bug. He kept asking me are you okay and I was like I'm fine go for it. When got back to Deal's gap for breakfast I ordered bacon, eggs, grits and toast and they were like you shouldn't do that. I said I hungry and if I don't eat I will get sick lol!

You are a bad *** my friend. I have done some low level flying in prop planes and helicopters surveying wildlife. Flying in bighorn sheep country is fun because you literally fly off the edge of the mountain and there is no bottom below you. I would sit with my leg out the door and my foot on the skids as my employees were puking in a bag. I had cancele a flight because the only two people that weren't puking due to sustained 30 mph winds was me and the pilot. What's funny is I used to make myself nauseous playing Halo LMAO!

Picked these up today.

Both of these I was able to pick up today. Steering wheel bought from an Ebay vendor, he had listed a carbon fiber one but I wanted leather. Exactly what I wanted. The headers are from SpeedForce. Had these sitting for a bit, finally had them coated and hopefully will put them on in the next month or so - at that point my exhaust will be done. God willing once spring time starts will concentrate on the intake side, along with a tune.

I could tell you a few stories from when I worked for the DoD. I used to "commute" in Hueys. The one pilot I flown with. Wanted to fly fighter jets but couldn't make the cut. So they stuck him with flying Hueys. He used to take off and land like a airplane with the skids sparking going down the strip. :rofl2: He also like chasing ducks on the water. He used to pitch the Huey forward with the blades almost touching the water.

I would send a PM to JohnnyDrama, he has been sitting in his for over a year and can give you a better opinion than I can at this point.

Changed the G sedan's rear rotors. Unbolted the traction arms to clear enough room so I could torque the rear caliper bolts properly. First time taking out a suspension arm myself, feels good! This will help me when I do the same on the Z.

Car got washed + tried this P&S Bead Maker ... JAW DROPPING results!!

Only have this iphone6 (pos phone) photo, but for those that have not tried and want a low/moderate effort spray on, wipe, new towel re-wipe to remove <15 mins invested = some great shine!

Well worth the $30/gallon price, can honestly say if you've not atleast tried it an you regularly blow $ on detailing crap, give this a shot!

One thing to note: The company isn't just buying product from a giant blender that then relabels/marks up 5000%; They actually make this themselves in house.

Great story/down to earth individuals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd35xigJM2E
