Definitely a long wait. Logan at Dynosty told me they are very far behind on deliveries.

Does everyone else also have codes thrown via OBD when pulling the steering lock fuse?

Negative, 2010. Got a tuner? Maybe something that can be turned off.

Doesn’t cause any issues. I just noticed the code when scanning OBD. I’m going to ignore it, just didn’t know if others see the same thing since I haven’t heard anyone else mentioning codes being thrown.

Yes I have a code for the ESCL. Also for the TPMS. I just ignore them.

Yep, CMAK. I knew it was a ticking time bomb, decided to wait it out and see how far it went. The car isn't my daily.

I ignore all body module codes. That's probably one of em.

BTW. I've got red Z1 PCV hoses if anyone wants them. I'm going to clean them up and post in the freebies thread, but I thought I'd mention it here.

These are nice man, have you seen the 2 in 1 catch can? replaces oem coolant overflow, and turns it into a catch can and coolant tank.

I'm starved for things to do with my car over the winter. It's been pretty cold -20 some days for the last week. Not that I can really do all that much with the car all winter regardless of the cold.

I have to park on the street. A street that is pretty well used. Two bus routes, and the main way to get to the nearest highway.

Car gets completely covered in salt.

Desperately needed a wash. I envy all you people that don't have a winter.

I feel you… no garage here either. Rhode Island for me. Do you drive it much in the winter? If not why not cover it? That’s what I’ve been during during snow storms

That's what you get for living 4 blocks from the North Pole.

i don't really drive much, period. But at least 3-4 times a week for short errands. Too much hassle to cover it. It's plastered in SiO2 sealant so it should be fine.
This is winter 2 since I've had it. Going to do a full undercarriage check in the spring. Apply "Chassis Saver" where appropriate and hit it with the full Bilt Hamber anti-corrosion lineup.

I could see those pics from the top of Mount Rushmore :icon17:

Anyways I resized them for you.

Glad I've never had to deal with salt. Not fun for any car :ugh2:

Just got a full set of akebono re-mans with rotors, pads, paint and ss lines for less than $800. The base is getting an upgrade :)

haha, yes, last year I had to park it across the street on a side road. Had a few huge snowstorms....after dutifully shoveling my winter car, sidewalks, and driveway clear, I'd march across the street with the shovel and shovel out the Z, forming walls of snow and ice around her. When the streets dry off, even in deep winter, I will take her out for a spin.

This year I arranged for her to be in a driveway and just took her for a mid-winter drive a few days ago, before more snow was to come. It helps beat any winter blues for sure.

Installed my custom modified Ganador replica mirrors. Before and after pics.

Dreadnaught 01-24-2022 04:04 AM

I changed my oil using the Nissan ester oil and factory oil filter.

I also installed a new left front outer and inner tie rods. Nissan sells them as kits except for the jam nut.

Lastly I installed the left rear eccentric bolt, eccentric washer and nut for the stock camber arm. The last shop or two that tightened the bolt and not the nut like you're supposed to destroyed the eccentric washer.

I'm taking my car to Corner 3 here in Laguna Niguel. I'd do the alignment myself but my shop doesn't have an alignment rack.

Akebono's painted

Got the Akebono's coated - used a two part epoxy based paint and while it's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, from five feet away it'll look great and they'll stop the car just fine.

Averying 01-30-2022 09:59 AM

Put on my car cover for this blizzard here in Rhode Island… except the car cover got ripped off the car in the middle of the night. Winds ripped the cover right off the straps that hold it down. Spring can’t come soon enough

Got the car back from the mechanic today. Surprised it only cost me 180$ cad. Always get scared that something is going to cost a lot when I bring it in.

Had the window regulator replaced, got a part from a totalled Nismo. No more crunchy window. Also installed the center trim piece from veganstig so now I have no vinyl rips on my interior.

Still have that stupid cracked a pillar finisher to deal with now.

Headlights before and after, no clue why the last owner painted these. Took forever to sand the first one.

Nope. The Z is still in the shop since before Christmas :shakes head:

Fingers crossed it'll be ready today :driving:

Washed that bad boy! The roads’ around here are white from road salt. Had developed a film on it. It’s also very therapeutic or so says my Wife!

Running logs at E81. Seb is making the adjustments! I just hope my fuel pump keeps up. I'm not quite ready to make the switch to the surge tank.

abm89 02-17-2022 10:55 AM

yep. definitely need to upgrade the pump. Ordered the AEM drop-in for now. I'll get a surge system at a later date.
