Sad Day
Sold it.:ugh:

I think about it every once in awhile, but I’ve had mine for almost 14 years and spent entirely too much money on it, so I just can’t let it go. Still gets good smiles to the gallon. |

They get you coming and going don’t they? I hate paying rent for myself let alone my car. |

Finally. Easy part done. Deal with routing the ducts another day.
While I have the bumper off, I may add a pair of air intake duct. 50/50. |

Kinda like it, kinda don’t, easier on the eye when it’s just the brake ducts. Good thing I have a spare front bumper.

Undo the mess from the previous owner.
1. Fixed the radio (it was all static) 2. Fixed the back up cam (it was cut and thrown away, and harness from head unit was missing) 3. Put the correct brakes on. The rotors on there were the wrong ones and were wayyyyy too small, the pads were barely sitting on there! https://i.ibb.co/tYB2w7Z/IMG-0243.jpg https://i.ibb.co/gTSQV0S/saf-5202.jpg |

Finished the Flex Fuel retune with Seb. The car is running great!
Next up: New Z1 Forged calipers and pads to replace my very worn akebonos. Just waiting on some other stuff to come in. |
Can’t figure out (again) how to post a photo…but in April I gave up my beloved Z, Harry.
Columbia BMW in Columbia Missouri sold it less than two weeks after I traded him on a 2017 Grand Sport Z51 Corvette. If you picked up Harry I hope you’re treating him as well as I did. I miss you Harry :crying: |

Congratulations, Cindy. Enjoy it! That is a proper move from a Z34 to a Z51. Lots of smiles per mile. |

(I still think your Z is spectacular). |
Wheel bearing going out on the front right wheel. Ordered hub and bearing assembly for both front wheels from the dealer at a reasonable price. Also went ahead and ordered a set of Racing Brake 2pc rotors to replace the garbage Z1 2pc rotors I have currently.
|
Finally sold my Z after 7 years. It's been fun.

What’s the replacement? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
If I get rid of one of my two 370Zs, the replacement will probably be my death, given that I like them that much.

paint matched my door handles! unfortunately a lot of shops turned me down so i DIY it, looks ok from a few feet away but definitely a few imperfections up close :(

That photo didn’t really show the imperfection haha. I thought I was smart by propping up the door handles so I can get paint evenly on the inside. Unfortunately since it was propped up when the handle was placed back down some parts of it were blocked so the paint didn’t get on there evenly (circled in red)
https://i.ibb.co/q5Q6Ytn/IMG-1084.jpg What’s worse was I tried to fix it and it didn’t work, which ended up sanding everything down (except the inside of the handles) to redo it, this time without propping up the handle. Except I over sanded it and caused a lot of ridges and imperfection on the handle itself  so now the second try the paint and clear coat got on there evenly, but up close you can see that the handles aren’t smooth cuz i over sanded it. And there’s also a bit of orange peel. Sigh it’s ok, it’s “good enough” from a few feet away Lol https://i.ibb.co/DD915Rw/IMG-1090.jpg https://i.ibb.co/MR2wrFp/IMG-1091.jpg |
Passed my first 10,000 miles on the Z over the weekend! It’s been my daily for the past 10 and a half months, and it has easily been my favorite car to own. Flew to another city to purchase it because they had the exact spec I wanted and drove it 4 hours home. Definitely worth it. Crazy how fast time passes :driving:

did quite a few things with the Z this last week, got a new set of tires, replaced all the throttle body coolant lines as they were starting to let coolant seep through to the outside of the lines, gave the whole engine bay a degreasing and spray down at the local diy car wash, changed the oil and transmission fluid, retorqued the bolts for the test pipes, topped off the coolant reservoir, replaced the broken hood prop retainer and finally got around to checking and repositioning the fuel pump to fix the pesky last light not lighting up on the fuel gauge.... finished it all off by taking her for a nice long test drive and rolled over the 226,000 mile mark while i was at it.... only thing left to do is endure the long wait for the nismo gt pro LSD that i ordered to show up and have the rear differential rebuilt, good times!

Went to the track yesterday and did the best short video of drifting ever. All filmed by a dude I met there, who happened to have an iPhone in his hand, and A LOT OF TALENT. Check this out!!
|
replaced the fading Z side markers and replaced the broken plastic cover for the windshield rear view mirror that covers up the wire for the touring mirrors fancy self dimming feature, followed that up with another nice long cruise
|
got him a little friend, took a while to find a black v1 nismo diecast. i wish the wheels were true to the v1 nismo wheels but best i could find!

I have actually seen 1 person 3d printed his own V1 Nismo wheels for this very same Tomica car. That person listed the finished product on ebay for like a ridiculous $150 or something. Here are a few of mine. |
