The New "What did you do with your Z today" (with off topic replies) XXX

Is it normal to have what sounds like input shaft bearing noise? I’ve had it in other older cars but the Z hasn’t even crossed 60k miles. It goes away

Me three.

Does the smallest amount of pressure make it go away (I.e. just pressing the clutch 1/2-1” in)?

I thought that too, if it were the throw out bearing wouldn’t it be worse when I disengage the clutch? Like when there’s more pressure on it? Idk. It’s frustrating. I’ve been told it’s normal but I just don’t believe that. Lol.

Not necessarily. The pressure quells the noise. The bearing in my Camaro did that. It would stop once I put just a little pressure on the clutch.

That’s how my S-10 was too. All I had to do was rest my foot on the pedal and that was enough pressure to stop the noise.
