Exactly. That is why replacing just the stuff I use all the time is my goal. I dont care who makes my dead blow hammer, its a dead blow hammer I hit things with.
For power tools, I rarely use anything beyond a sawzall or drill as I have a large air compressor available. With that being said, JC had a REALLY nice Rigid cordless impact that I have coveted.

I have to agree. JC brought a bunch of his wrenches up here and they just felt good while wrenching on the car. Not sure if I was imagining it or the S.O. kool aid was kicking in but there is $1100 in wrenches on my Wishlist on the SO site.

One drawer in my Snap-On box is worth over $15,000. And I have 2 drawers like that. One standard wrenches and one metric.

I got Snap-On, Craftsman, MAC, and stuff that you might never heard of.

For cordless power tools. When I worked for Elliott and Duke. That's 30 yrs total. I used it all. DeWalt, Rigid, Milwaukee, Craftsman, Roybi, etc. And I prefer the Milwaukee. The batteries don't go bad as fast as the other ones and have to buy replacements as often. The chucks grip better on their drills.

What I don't like on the new ion batteries. When they die. They're dead. Use it, sit it down. Pick it back up, and nothing. With the older style batteries. You knew it was coming close to needing a recharge because it was slowing down. One the plus side of the ion batteries. My new 18v Milwaukee batteries have a light to indicate charge level.

I was able to get my car hauler in the back yard today. I did not think it was going to be possible because my driveway is so steep. I can't give Spooler enough props for his advise with the trailer and recommending the wheelie rollers. The pictures obviously don't do much justice but you can kind of get an idea of what I contend with.

Thanks it was good trip with no mishaps but I don't want to do that kind of driving all at once again if I don't have too. I like to take my time anymore.

Yep, my house sits on a half acre so it is nice to have a the space. I need to build another garage or two LOL!

Nice yard. Do you know what a lawn mower looks like? And how to use it?

It is the FCKING DESERT! Rocks and a few shrubs and trees. Oh and we have a landscaping company maintain it. I hate yard work as much as I love tracking my Z.

I'm trying to make my yard as maintenance free as possible. But the wifey keeps adding stuff.

The wife finally fired me from lawn care and made me hire a company. I can’t say I miss it.
