I guess I need to post a video to you non believers on custom exhausts.

Fixed that for OP, Probably cheaper to go this ^ route.

X-pipes are generally raspier and louder than H and have been shown to provide slightly more power than their counterparts. You are likely to see most of the power gains higher in the rpm band with an X-pipe.

An H-pipe is better at balancing sound and produces a more consistent, classic muscle car growl. It does less than an X-pipe in the way of balancing exhaust gasses but still flows quite well. H-pipes maintain the back-pressure necessary for torque gains earlier in the rpm band, as opposed to the top-end power seen from an X-pipe.
Merv and Kaldaien like this.

I went from a true straight dual with 12' resonators to what I stated above. The tone is significantly quieter and lower with a deeper growl.

I dont know anything about the H pipe though even though at the muffler shop I was told the X pipe would be a better setup of my Z. He does this for a living and very good at what he does and after hearing my exhaust the first time afterwards I was extremely happy.

Plenty of options OP and a lot of excellent setups for the Z including custom if you so desire.
