Ceramic coatings are much more appropriate on exhaust manifolds and test pipes that will be radiating heat up into the engine bay which will heatsoak the motor. The coatings do look really nice, however I think the $$$ for performance gained from coating a catback is very minimal.

In the long run though as I always tell my customers, do what makes you happy!

Oh it'll be cheapo coatings, only my headers get the good stuff. Just want to seal the metal against moisture because.... I'm also wrapping the entire thing with cheapo wrap. I'm doing everything I can to keep radiant heat down, as I get tired of cooking in the car. I know it's stainless, but it's easy and cheap to provide another layer of corrosion resistance.

Total supplies spent will be in the neighborhood of $50-60. Absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things for this build..
