Default Car stalls after turning over 7AT

Once a week after the car turns over it stalls. Only when sitting for 2 hours. Never in the morning, never immediately after turning off. If i go some where and leave the car for 2 hours roughly when it cranks it struggles and most of the times catches but once a week it will stall out.

Car is an automatic 09 with 37,000 miles. Exhaust and intake along with 93 octane only and ful synth oil changes.

Headed to the dealership for the 4th time in 3 months, this time I have an iPhone vid.

Why would a 2009 automatic stall out at a 2 hour layover just once a week? There is absolutely no reason a car not even three years old should struggle to stay on and stall out, NEVER. Has to be something mechanically wrong somewhere

I had an '09 with 11k miles, I never have that problem at all. However, getting in the car after leaving work and hoping it to start due to wheel lock is a different story

I have an '09, almost 38k miles and has always started like a champ, whether it was hot, cold, recently started, etc.

Good luck, I hope the dealer can figure out whats wrong.

Guys... telling him that your Z never did this is not helping the issue.

To to OP: Sounds like a fuel issue to me... maybe a faulty fuel pump / filter?

Neither do about 60% of the posts on this site or any other forum.

Having the same year car with about the same mileage, I am interested in what might be wrong.

OP keep us posted on what the dealer says.

mine stalled a couple times after turning too (09 with 30k miles). And when i get to a red light sometimes the rpms drop to 500 for a quick second and it feels like its gonna stall but never does. does it happen to you too?

Does it really ever catch when you say it "stalls"? How long is it running? If you mean it almost catches but fails to start after spinning up a bit, it's probably just a weak battery that doesn't get sufficient charge after a start + short drive.

@ juruki your problem seems identical to mine. We gotta figure this out. Maybe it's just and ECU blip

^^ so you get the rpm drop at red lights too?

I havent taken my car to the dealer since i bought it. Scared they might scratch my wheels and damage the underside of the car since im pretty low.

Let me know if you find the problem. Good luck!

Guys, check the various little plastic filters with lines that go to the PCV valves. Mine is cracked and was doing some of that before being replaced.

Check all the lines coming off of the intakes, and also consider replacing the PCV filters.

Also check for cracks or holes in the intake tubes themselves (anywhere and everywhere after the MAF sensors) or anything coming off of them.

Hi- Mine is a 2010 370Z Roadster, auto, with 44,000, and it does the same thing. Took it to the dealer three times now. Have they figured out what it causing this on your car? I want to tell the dealer what to look for. Thanks, Amy

This seems to be the same issue as this one:
http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...n-catches.html

I experienced this for quite some time. I initially took the car to my dealer. They (surprise surprise) couldn't replicate the issue, but did a start re-learn anyway. It seemed to go away for a couple of weeks before returning.
I then started to take note of the specific conditions that it occurs under. It seemed to only occur on a hot start (not the first start of the day), on a warm day (25deg c +), after the car had been allowed to heat soak for a while.
Because of this I got the feeling that it was airflow issue. I have a K&N typhoon intake so I cleaned the air filters (properly with the K&N filter cleaner kit) & MAF sensors (with CRC MAF cleaner) and it seems to have gone away for now. I'm getting an ECUTek tune in a couple of weeks, so we'll see what happens after that too.

Hot start issues are sometimes due to leaky fuel injectors. The engine is somewhat flooded for a couple of hours until the excess fuel evaporates. Fuel injection cleaner can help and is cheap to try out.

Mine is doing something similar but when cold specially when it seat for hours. It is throwing a p2101 which has to do with the throttle body on the passanger side. The thing is i have had this code on for months and the car didn't do that until i change the fuel pump, injectors and spark plugs a few weeks ago. Now its driving me nuts plus if i have to change that particular throttle body is like $650
