Hey Z1. ETA on those headers?

That would suck for guys like me that already was crazy enough to spend 1100 bucks to gain a whole 6hp. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 4

You installed the momentum headers and only gained 6hp? how about throughout the curve? Also, what mods did you have beforehand and was it tuned?

Supposedly, people are saying they are good for 15-20 whp gains on top of existing breathing mods like HFCs and CBE, If this is true, I will be all over them. Waiting for more independent reviews as well as for z1 to release one with the HR flange.

Well, all I had was the Stillen 3 CAI and the dyno read 298. After installing the Z1 headers & test pipes, lightspeed exhaust and uprev & tune only 318. 90+ outside but from my view that is around about 5hp a piece. Now I'm just a simple country boy but I would say for over 3 grand that wasn't and isn't worth it. Still love the sound though. I'm new to all of this import stuff and so maybe there was more than I could see. Some of you guys know a lot but really Nissan wants to sale more cars than there needs to be more modding to do other than two types of headers, two types of CAI, I mean the only thing that I have seen that has options is the exhaust. I mean I realize that there is more than one or two products for each bolt on but seems to be only one that ever actually adds any hp. I mean if your a poor man like me and want something to terrorize street cars and run like hell I would say FI. If you are happy with a little extra hit and want something to sound different then this might be your route. I know some will say well if that's what you want is to mod then you should have bought a LS1 or blah blah blah but I love the look of all the Z cars and if I bought an import I wanted it to be a Z. Z are great cars and have one of the best communities I have ever seen on and off forums.

Sorry Trips/Admin I posted the only one of the inside of the cab I had to let'em have a listen. The other got ruined by me and my motor mouth woman talking. Might edit that one and post it later in another topic so don't make any others upset.. I'm learning!

That is somewhat disappointing. We're getting some pretty mixed reviews on these. Maybe they were too good to be true after all? If you got 298 from just the CAI, I would expect around 110 from the exhaust and TPs. For the headers to be making the types of numbers we're all hoping for, you'd have to be at at least 325 or so. My hopes are starting to become grounded, haha. Were the temps when you got your 298 also 90+ outside?

Yes, 298 was on a 90+ day also. I remember reading on these forums somewhere that you get the most out of your first mod. Then after the first then add 5hp for each other. Guess that would be about right. Think that's what it said. Maybe give or take a few words. ;-)

Yeah, that's how it usually goes. Supposedly, these headers were supposed to be different though which is why your numbers are disappointing.

Looking back at it.
The LiteSpeed exhaust is light... And that's it, it ISN'T a power maker... No one really has proof and reports of that.

Also 98+ degrees in humid NC is probably what killed your dyno the most.

Again, all dynos read different, and you're looking for the CHANGE in HP, and on the same day preferably.
Also, changing that many parts at once really limits the way you can quantify which part gives you HP.

Lastly, this hype over these damn headers started with Mike, he got 342WHP with these headers and a Z1 intake manifold mod, which I do not believe Z1 has disclosed. What it really is, is shaving down the walls of the manifold to make them bigger. Also, god knows what tricky shít Z1 has done with their dyno or whatnot, (I don't mean to discredit them, just sayin'), but take it with a grain of salt... Also rear wheel weights will effect WHP numbers. So keep that in mind.

Having a hard time getting an uprev tune on my 2013 370z with the following mods

Stillen G3 CAI / Berk Test pipes / Stillen CBE

Stood all day trying to tune it ended up not being able to. sent it back to the programmers and they didn't find anything / was making 285 at the rear wheels before the uprev tune on the dyno on the last pull......Any ideas!!!!

Thinking of changing Test pipes to FI long tube Headers

I didn't know about their manifold. But yes, we need on z1 numbers which is why you and i are both waiting for some more reviews and dynos.
