Now, going back to the V1 kit…
It is possible to use the new charge piping going from the turbo to the intercooler, with a new unmodified E compressor cover with the V1 manifold. The air filter would stay the same. You would need the three new pipes going from turbo to FMIC, and one 90* 2.5” silicone coupler. The turbo is clocked differently, but that is all. It is a simple changeover. Here is a picture of the V1 kit with the new V2 charge piping: ![]() All installed, using the V2 manifold, V2 down pipe, V1 recirc pipe, and V1 Y-pipe going to the F.I dual exhaust: ![]() THE PRICE OF THE NEW V2 KIT DOES NOT CHANGE. BONUS TO THE V2 KIT: If you already have an oil cooler kit, you do not need to order one with the turbo kit. If this is the case, the price of the kit is $210 less. So, a complete twin scroll turnkey turbo kit without the oil cooler is $6,785 + shipping and PayPal. So to sum it up, here is what is different: *No need for oil filter relocation kit (so only 2 oil lines, to and from oil cooler) *Retain OEM filter part number *Oil thermostat will be included (Mocal) *No need to fight with intercooler piping (routed on the driver side now) *Kit will be compatible with all aftermarket oil cooler kits *More turbo options, with SP compressor covers (4" inlet 2.5" outlet) *No need to modify compressor cover (weld 90* elbow on outlet side) *Larger air filter *Much easier to install with new IC pipe routing *Kit is compatible with all aftermarket oil cooler kits *2012+ model years do not need to remove OEM oil cooler At this time, I still don't think that the kit will work with the RHD cars, due to the steering knuckle being in the way of the larger air filter. Now I just have to build a lot of these kits, since the demand has gone through the roof recently.
