Are there caps you can put on those vents? If it were to rain, you'd be dumping water straight into the engine bay wouldn't you?

I like the look though. Subtle enough.

What are we talking price-wise?

I'm interested but I'd definitely want black plastic(?) plugs or something in case of downpour. Put me down as someone who'd want one.

I would be interested. Though who is going to be making it? Will it be a factory hood mod?

I'm interested too. Is it a whole hood replacement or a mod? I'm not worried about rain.

It would be a full hood replacement.

This is a shot of the venting of the JP-R hood. It has side vents that come with rain guards which can be removed with push pins. The centre vent seems to sit almost OVER the radiator shroud so I am not sure if the venting will help with heat soak or not. Might vent fresh air from the front this way...

oh, and the fitment is darn near perfect. Slight gap near the hinge on the drivers side but I think I can massage that away.

That's my JP-R hood from Exteme Dimensions. Very good fit overall but a small height issue at the back hinges that the bodyshop says they can fix. It goes in Monday for paint...

I checked the placement more carefully this morning and the centre vent sits above and slightly forward of the radiator shroud. You can see the top of the shroud and a bit of the coolant overflow tank through the opening. With the front edge rubber gasket reinstalled on the hood, the air should vent from the front of the engine bay, not from the fresh air side of the shroud.

The side vents sit forward of the exhaust manifolds, but for twin turbo guys, they are ideally placed. I have no doubt they will aid with heat venting in stop and go traffic for sure, regardless of their placement.

A side note, none of the vents are visible from the drivers seat! The slope of the hood hides them. You do, however, see the slight bulge from the front hood lip which looks awesome!

pic with amuse rep bumper too. You can see the vent placement better here
