BLM ELECT 80 9-axis cnc tube bender = $100k+ investment depending on the tooling.

Nissan370 08-05-2013 07:25 AM

This is nuts dam sam now the days of the elite turbo 370z is over lol

mikey1600 08-05-2013 08:10 AM

hopefully not much longer haha, anxious as hell already ;(

Diabel 08-06-2013 09:04 AM

Sam, give us some ETA please...Is the end of October real deadline? After months of waiting I seriously consider buying the 'old-school' Garret kit.. :|

m3chhawk 08-06-2013 09:14 AM

If they haven't even been trained on the CNC tube bender, it will probably be awhile. That's a lot of piping to bend, jig up, and weld.

OMGiGOTaZ 08-06-2013 09:34 AM

SPOHN 08-06-2013 09:59 AM

Pay for something not even in production:confused:

COSMO 08-06-2013 10:03 PM

Not at all besides trying to get my project finished. I may not speak for all but I know a few who feel the same about being blown off by them. Why come out with even more items to sell people when they cant even stock what they sell now. It's just disappointing.

That's how group buys work. You can pay early and wait, or hold off until its in production and pay substantially more.

This right here is key I think, they are making the kits, you will end up getting a good product, it will just take some time. is a couple of months worth thousands of dollars to you? The price for a single kit has to be higher than the tier one price and that was group as well as introductory pricing. I would think the price is going to be a good bit higher if you were to buy this a year from now.

Edit: saw they posted retail so you save around 1200 buying it now and waiting, jeebus you could buy an aftermarket lsd for that, or wheels, or coils

Paid in full here over a month ago, I think most people have already either paid or at least put a deposit down.

You do save a bit of a chunk with the group buy.. but do have to wait :( you are technically waiting now anyway even if you do buy it when it comes out of production lol :P

mikey1600 08-07-2013 12:50 AM

On a brighter note! who else is super excited and doing the install themselves? Think I'll try get it all done in 1 weekend.

NeverBoneStck 08-07-2013 01:49 AM

Starting to see the cracks ......

Alstann 08-07-2013 06:40 AM

I'm gonna be installing myself! My car is actually on stands and completely stripped apart, ready for the turbo kit to be installed. It's great having a beater car to drive around town.

I'm gonna be planning to install the kit over a months time, It'll give me time to work with school and my job, as well as make sure I have all my extra parts in order.

We are proud to introduce our new line of Twin Turbo Kits for the 370Z based on the venerable Mitsubishi Heavy Industry turbocharger line up. These turbos are water cooled and oil lubricated journal bearing turbos with a great track record of reliability, performance and value. Available with our kits are three different turbo options: 16g (600hp), 18g (700hp), and 20g (900hp). All three turbo options cost the same. Since the VQ37VHR is such a great engine, the 16g and 18g options are great for stock motor builds while the 20g is the way to go for built engine, high horsepower setups.

Since this kit was designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, it is the only turbo kit that retains the factory crash bar. Also, there are no permanent modifications that have to be done to the car to install and run this kit successfully with outstanding performance. In addition, the engine can remain in the vehicle for installation.

As usual, we offer our kits in two basic forms: Turn-Key and Tuner. Our Turn-Key kits come with our GTM Spec ECU flash and upgraded fuel system components. These kits are designed to deliver a complete package that can be installed on a car and perform flawlessly out of the box. Our Tuner Kit, on the other hand is a complete kit that gives the end user the freedom to choose whatever engine management and fuel system components they prefer.

Below are the components included in our Turn-Key Kit.
  • Cast Ductile Iron Exhaust Manifolds
  • Pre-Bent Stainless Steel Heat Shields
  • Exhaust Manifold Install Hardware Kit
  • 4-Ply High Resistance Nomex Silicon couplers
  • Stainless Steel T-Bolt clamps
  • Twin 3" x 12 x 12 Bar and Plate Core Intercooler Rated at 900hp (combined)
  • Polished Aluminum Piping
  • Pre-made steel braided oil and coolant Supply & Return lines

Retail price for the Turn-Key Kit is $6,795
Retail price for the Tuner Kit with our 3" Downpipes and External Wastegates is $5,995
Retail price for the Tuner Kit with Internal Wastegates is $5,695

We are offering a Group Buy on these kits here: http://www.the370z.com/group-buys/68...ml#post2227665

This group buy has a tiered pricing structure broken down as follows:

Tier One (1 - 25 people)

Tier Three (51+ people)

Tier One
Turn-Key Kit: $5,995
Tuner (w/EWG): $5,395
Tuner (w/IWG): $4,995

Tier Two
Turn-Key Kit: $5,795

Tuner (w/IWG): $4,795

Tier Three
Turn-Key Kit: $5,595
Tuner (w/EWG): $4,995
Tuner (w/IWG): $4,595

This pricing will no longer be available once these kits are on the shelf and ready to ship. This is on a first come, first serve basis and the closing date of this offer will be determined in the next couple weeks.

Financing Options:

We were able to come up with a couple programs to make some of your dreams come true.

Option 1: 90 days same as cash and 6 months same as cash financing available. Credit check required and approval amount is based on credit score.

Option 2: This option requires 25% down and is limited to only $3,400 of credit. This is for 12 monthly payments. There is no credit check required, very high approval rate and all you need to have is a checking account and a job.

Just to Clarify....

Is the group buy option still available?

Chuck33079 08-07-2013 07:28 AM

"This pricing will no longer be available once these kits are on the shelf and ready to ship. This is on a first come, first serve basis and the closing date of this offer will be determined in the next couple weeks."

This makes me think so, but a quick phone call to Mike or Sam at GTM would answer all of your questions. A phone call, not PM or email. I've had issues emailing/PMing them, but they answered the phone every time I've called them.

SPOHN 08-07-2013 07:42 AM

Just call them. You will still get the price. I talked to them every other day.

My .02 on the clutch and flywheel. Take it to a dealer (I don't say that very often).

If/when the master cylinder fails during install, they will warranty it out. There is also a service bulletin out for GTR Dot 4 brake fluid replacement for the Z's so this will cover your cost of fluid as well. These two things alone save you ~$200 and can make up for a good portion of the labor cost.

COSMO 08-07-2013 11:31 AM

What do you talk to them every other day about? Sounds like a romance in the making... lol Maybe that's where I went wrong with mike... hmm...:icon18::nutswinger::nutswinger:

I don't hang on nuts. I hug them. Lol.

Seriously I have some upgrades and working on some custom things and Mike has helped me a lot with very small things and proper tech info. Besides Z1, GTM has been about the only other shop willing to give there time with no rushing to get me off the phone.

Harry,

You are being very disrespectful and certainly do not know us well enough to be making that kind of statement. We have been very courteous to you and professional with you throughout all our business transactions. We are not "blowing you off" as you describe. Every time you call, we answer. Every time you had a request on anything, we reply to you. We are in the business of selling parts and taking care of customers. Why would we blow you off?

When you bought a Blitz boost controller online from another vendor and you were hitting 40psi of boost, you thought it was defective and bought another one from yet another online vendor. Then, when it did the same thing, you called us up and Sam walked you through installing it correctly. We helped you with a part that you didn't even buy from us and you have the nerve to imply that we have poor customer service? Really?

When you called to get our exhaust and complained about the price and the lead time, I told you that we are going to be getting our mandrel bender up and running and will be able to offer our exhaust to you at a better price with a faster turnaround. I told you that when we get it up and running that I would get in touch with you to let you know. You would call up every couple weeks asking the same question. I mean, I can only tolerate being a broken record for so long.

When you asked me about the meth kit, it was late in the afternoon on a Friday and I had an instruction manual that I needed to finish up for a customer and I explained to you that I needed to get that done. I also told you that you can purchase the kit from our website and it would be faster for you to do it that way rather than having me put a quote together for you. Considering that you are perfectly capable of purchasing two Blitz boost controllers from other vendors online, I honestly don't know what is holding you back from purchasing the methanol kit from our website.

Our customer support is unparalleled in this industry and there is always someone to talk to when you call and we are just a phone call away. If we don't meet your standards, I'm sorry. There is only so much we can do.

Ultimately, this is a thread about our new turbo kit and this isn't really the place for this sort of discussion. If you want to continue, please start a different thread.

-Mike

COSMO 08-07-2013 02:43 PM

Alright mike since you have finally decided you untuck your tail from between your legs lets get the facts straight.

1. My car was never boosting at 40 psi because it is not possible. That you should already know but I understand your a desk and phone guy.
2. I never complained about the pricing because sam had discounted the other items I purchased besides my TT kit and I was hoping he would do the same for an exhaust.
3. You have blown me off on the phone when my drivers side turbo came shipped Unclocked which too me a lot longer to do the install and making me have to fab a part to make it work. I was just trying to figure out why things were not lining up and you swore it wasn't gtm's fault when in fact it was.
4. I called and spoke to you about a meth kit because you guys went about installing it into the intake ports instead of the intake tubes and before I ordered I wanted more info on that. Again you blew me off and I heard nothing.
5. 5 years ago I spent over 10k on a built motor from your company and with what I have spent currently on my 370z Iam over 20k.
6. I ordered your 3 inch down pipes about you assured me it would bolt up to any 2.5 exhaust and later I found that was not true and had to have a reducer welded in to make it fit. That's why I have been sending emails and calling about your 3' exhaust.

So if your asking me why I not so happy with your place of business it is because I have invested in your company over the past 5 years only to be blown off and disrespected in the process. You can get on here and act like the perfect business but the fact is after money is spent with gtm customer service go downhill. I know I don't speak for everyone here and but business relationship started good with you guys too at the beginning. The truth is you guys are getting Too big for your own good and customer support is lacking. You guys have way too many things going on when you cant even keep up with your existing items your selling. What does that say? Sugar coat it anyway you like mike but there are the facts.
Good luck to your 100+ people who ordered the kit who will need customer support..

Better ways to pull your panties out of a bunch... Like PM's or a separate thread on your problems with them.

COSMO 08-07-2013 04:11 PM

Please accept my apology fellow z members. I would not have posted that if mike did not call me out and so I replied...
You guys are going to absolutely love your Twin Turbo Kit!!!

G37sHKS 08-07-2013 04:13 PM

Mike is not a desk guy. If he is then he wouldn't be answering all your technical questions because 4-5 years of mechanics study in college cant end up like a desk guy as you described.

The thing is Mike is just too nice to answer phone calls and answers your questions and gets you update on your current order. They are indeed over loading with their order and your order delay few more days/weeks because of that, but i dont even know why you're complaining since you said you got a discount of all GTM parts. I wouldnt complain if GTM is giving me discount.
