Yes, it is still going on. We will most likely be closing the group buy later this month/early next month.

megalapagas 06-04-2013 07:02 PM

Infidel 06-04-2013 07:17 PM

Is it possible to get a list going of paid accounts according to date of payment?

No you wouldn't. They would honor the pricing.

Dzel 06-04-2013 09:43 PM

I know I'm in the top 20 so I'm pretty sure everyone will not let a price like this pass on by

jza70turbo 06-04-2013 11:35 PM

Well I sent payment in full on the first day they started accepting payments, 3 hours after they opened to be exact. :p

I was told I was #8 so there should be a decent amount of people who have paid by now

aBT 06-05-2013 05:59 AM

Ditto, paid in full first day!

SPOHN 06-05-2013 06:36 AM

Glad to see a decent amount of people paid. There was also a lot of G37 guys that signed up.

I wonder if GTM has anything else in store after this sell.

They always have something in the works! I think one we all know about is the V8 project. I was trying to get my car in there as the test car with no luck.

SPOHN 06-05-2013 07:28 AM

I want to see a cool looking intake manifold (not the GTR). Like a dual intakes coming from the intercooler leading to a big single throttle body. But that's more luxury items. But a intake manifold of any type would be nice. I just can't spend more than let's $1500 on a nice one. I just want a better looking one.

Dzel 06-05-2013 07:47 AM

What was the company that made one that doesn't sell it anymore? Motordyne?

stevent85 06-05-2013 07:50 AM

I believe that was kinetix. They only sold like 5. Look nice....no performance.

Dzel 06-05-2013 07:54 AM

Steven what up Texas!!! LOL

stevent85 06-05-2013 09:18 AM

Haha the only thing thats up in Texas is the heat. El Paso weather is ridonk...were already in the 100's.

Same here 107 and now looks like we might have rain tonight. Which means it's going to be as humid as Satans rectum!

The reason the aftermarket STi cats don't fail is quite simple. They are designed for the application. Mounting the cats farther away is actually a bad thing and shortens the life of the cat since it needs heat to do its job. The better Subaru Downpipes use correct cats and mount them in the factory location right after the turbo outlet. The HFC's currently on the market for this car are NOT designed to handle Forced Induction.

We will be offering high flow cats as part of our new modular downpipe design. These cats are designed specifically for high horsepower, forced induction applications. In fact, we are so confident in their performance that we will be offering a warranty against failure.

The HFC's we will be offering are for our 3" downpipes with external wastegates as an option. You can also swap to 3" test pipes for track days if you like since they are bolted pieces. This new option is a great way for people to go that want 500whp and still have clean exhaust. Also, these cats will keep emissions down just as well as the stock cats, but have more flow and stand up to higher exhaust temps with richer air/fuel mixtures.

Sam

Sam,

When will you offer these high power forced induction cats ( Without external wastegate ) ? I hope very soon.

Will you make an official anouncement when you close it? Desperetly trying work out the funds for this without financing. Thanks!

Jms racing here in San Antonio is doing this kit on a g37x as we speak. Look forward to results :)

khanhvu411 06-07-2013 07:52 AM

O.o how did they get the kit? Have GTM shipped them out already?

Is this a production kit or another prototype?

SPOHN 06-07-2013 01:12 PM

GTM, I have NGK one step colder plugs. What gap should I set them at?

Not sure at the moment. Don't have them in front of me. There the same ones for the GTR. Think it's DILKAR8A8 (93026).

Dzel 06-07-2013 07:32 PM

I was just going to pick some up from the dealership. GTR plugs that is.

No idea if this is what Sam referred too but in his pre-release thread, he mentioned that the steering coupler is untouched. Not sure if he means the same thing as the steering knuckle.

I'm not positive but what I think he may be applying is that it will not be modified or changed any form or fashion like his other kits And not the removal of the stock manifold in which it is in the way. It's just a lot easier when removed.

DanohKeo 06-08-2013 03:18 PM

Willing to starve for this kit!

Yep. Rice and water since I made the payment and I don't even have the kit yet. My wife is MEAN !!:shakes head:

Cell 06-08-2013 07:35 PM

Everyone getting this kit, also getting colder spark plugs or sticking with the stock plugs? Would colder plugs be much more beneficial?
