Mike & Sam have gone out of their way quite a few times for me:)
They shipped parts for me (at my expense)
pressure tested and cleaned my oil cooler
hooked me up on fixing some prior issues without raping me to the bank
Of course they really worked hard for my business on the twin supercharger kit (won't disclose details)
Delayed email responses are a minor annoyance in the scheme of things. When I call, 99% of the time, I get the info I need.
Only thing to really scrutinize is the timelines given. So long as it's ready when I get back stateside in a couple weeks, I'm happy.

And seriously guys, For the price of this kit, components used, and GTM quality, it's worth waiting for. Then I can watch all the engine pron I can get as everyone starts installing these. Sometimes I dream of buying a second Z to throw snails on that one lol.

Clearly you are looking for a fight and have been trying to instigate one for some time now.

It does not surprise me that I have to repeat myself with you again: This is not the thread to be having this discussion. This forum is a more civilized establishment than others you may have patronized in the past and if you have difficulty following the rules, then please see yourself out.

elperuano 08-07-2013 07:05 PM

I've learned from this.
If you want a response drop some insults and you'll get a real fast response. Might not be the answer to your question but at least you get a response.

Um...what part of "this is not the place to have this discussion" doesn't compute with you?

Furthermore, peppering our thread with insults and negative implications certainly warrants a response. Did you expect to carry on saying the things you said throughout this thread with impunity?

Bear in mind, that both of my questions are rhetorical and you don't need to respond. ;)

m3chhawk 08-07-2013 07:50 PM

Mods, can we get a cleanup on aisle 6?

COSMO 08-07-2013 08:36 PM

Alright guys I have taken the time to pm mike and we have an understanding and hopefully a resolve me and mike I will be editing earlier post just so we clean up this mess.
The show is over spohn, time to get a life pal... lol

COSMO 08-07-2013 08:58 PM

Pmed mike and we both have agreed to edit and delete our post. He has to go home for the day so his will be edited tomorrow. I believe we have an understanding and hopefully a resolve...

G37Sam 08-08-2013 06:14 AM

Should've done so from the beginning man (or girl?), not sure why you wanted 64,000 people in on your drama.

COSMO 08-08-2013 08:03 AM

COSMO 08-08-2013 08:32 AM

Good question spohn, I have been thinking about going external dumps but worry about how loud it would be. Don't want to attract too much attention from the po po...

External dumps are really loud. For a daily driver, it's kinda cool for a week or two, and then it gets old. I'd do it for a track car or weekend toy, but not something I drive every day.

SPOHN 08-08-2013 08:48 AM

I'm getting open dumps again on this kit. Love the attention. Had it on my 350 on a single turbo kit. It's loud, especially from outside the car. It just echoes off the road too. I love to scare people with them that are walking down the street. So far as in the city as long as your not full boost (I know, hard to do) it can be lived with.

Mr.Squeeze 08-08-2013 08:56 AM

Open dumps aren't that bad I have them on my car there loud when your pushing it WOT. I drive around part throttle or cruising and it's not loud at all.

I have also had recirculated into my exhaust and it was just to quiet while out having some fun with other cars. There were time were I couldn't here my car at all and I have a 3 inch exhaust.

Dzel 08-08-2013 09:01 AM

Doors any one have any experience with electric dumps? My buddy had some on his SRT4 he would just flip a switch and it would automatically open our close his dumps.

Depends on when the wastegates are set to open up. I'm assuming you can get more than a few psi before the wastegates start opening since you're running a lot of boost. For someone that's running ~10 psi with a 5 psi wastegate spring, the wastegates are going to be open a lot even at part throttle. I recirculated mine with a 3" catted FI exhaust, and I couldn't be happier. Sometimes I want more noise, but that's ok. I prefer wanting a little more noise sometimes over wanting less noise all the time.

They have a long history of failing and leaking.

SPOHN 08-08-2013 09:27 AM

It's also amazing how smooth the boost is through out the band.

BlkNismo 08-08-2013 06:00 PM

had open dumps on my supra, was way too loud for daily. It was cool for a few weeks but swapped out. I like to be stealth.

Yeah, if I ever saw 14 psi I'd assume a vacuum line came off somewhere and a wastegate was stuck closed.

G37Sam 08-08-2013 08:20 PM

17 psi spring pressure here.. loving my open dump :D

I can see how it would get annoying on 5psi springs though

I'm still looking forward to it for personal reasons of course. Just the the pure excitement of getting the kit in your hands. It's like hoping for sex on the first date but end up waiting three dates. Course you'll get it. But you wanted it the first date. Lol. Even though its good you don't want to wait. Not pointing fingers just saying. I've been told some pretty much solid info but that's between GTM and I.
