Yea I spohn I know what you mean but the Hks bov sounds so sick but then I also like the Turbo Smart bov that the kit comes with cuz of the "sneezing" type sounds uhhhg! So hard!....can you switch bov whenever or would that cause problems to the kit??

Chuck33079 06-13-2013 03:58 PM

I've seen the HKS units leak more than Tial or Turbosmart. I'd stay away from them since there's other options.

megalapagas 06-13-2013 04:00 PM

Ahhh....Appreciate the Tip!^^ :tiphat:

G37sHKS 06-13-2013 04:50 PM

What he said, stay away from HKS. my tuner which is HKS dealer said these HKS bovs are toys

Thanks for the update, Sam.

I'm there with people and their preferences in BOV. I haven't found another one to replace my choice of the GReddy Type RS...

GrooveStyle 06-13-2013 10:27 PM

Email sent! I'll bite too... this looks AMAZING...

If only it sounded like the older Trust unit, I would have been all over them. But not so much...........

I have a Tial BOV on my car and it sounds (and more importantly performs) very well. The thing with twin intake engines is that the boosted air is relieved through two BOV's and since you're running on relatively low boost, they don't end up sounding as dramatic.

SharpByCoop 06-16-2013 02:40 PM

I specified and GTM plumbed in twin Synapse Synchronic BOV's. Both of them rerouted back into the intake. Quiet, stealthy, and effective.

I seem to be the only Synchronic fanboy, but, hey what do I know. ;)

If you are in high RPMs and release, then it is more of a pitched Booooosssshhh!

Those are some pimp BOVs, but I couldn't justify the added cost over the Tials. Maybe when I am running 1.5 BAR or higher, but the Tial's will handle that as well.

If I were to change, I would find the old Trust RS/RZ model so I could get the sound that I wanted.

BlkNismo 06-16-2013 09:59 PM

Is the Tial bov full vent or can it be recirculated?

Alstann 06-16-2013 11:00 PM

I think I'm going to die of anxiety waiting for Sam to send me a magical email with tracking information. :D

Agreed but finding one costs a bit otherwise it's in so-so condition excluding all the bootlegs. So I settled on the next best thing in my opinion.

SPOHN 06-18-2013 11:20 AM

Boost fever

roplusbee 06-18-2013 01:25 PM

True on the cost for finding an original Trust piece these days. And my setup has the Tials vented to atmosphere. I haven't seen anyone run them recirculated, but I really haven't been looking either.

Anyone want to add ITB to there FI kit? Because later on this year GTM will be making an adaptor plate that is added to these ITB that will allow it to be fitted with your piping on your FI kit.

Yes this is a decent price tag. But I'm very interesting in doing this at the first of the year.

The ITB are $3500+ by themselves. Then there will be a bracket/ plate made to fit to the ITB that will taper down to one inlet for your cold side piping along with a stand alone EMS or speed density. About 5K+.

Spohn,

Care to share your bottomless wallet? <3

Those ITB's are making me all excited. Curious though, I hear you aren't a fan of the GT-R manifold conversion?

Lol. I like the GTR manifold swap. But like any others intake swap, even the ITB there not worth the $$$$ to justify any improvents. But it's more of wow factor. Which right now I'm tired of looking at the stock plastic waffle maker we have now.

The GTR conversion kit will be coming soon from GTM. Look for a group buy in the weeks to come. Maybe longer. Lol.

Dzel 06-22-2013 08:32 AM

I'm interested to see the benefits of this mod. With it being independent for each cylinder do you think one could run less boost and achieve better numbers?

Q: Were the dyno numbers and graphs presented in the first post with a completely stock 370Z and exhaust?

PM sent to be placed on the list.

DanohKeo 06-23-2013 01:10 AM

Still haven't heard anything from Sam in a week or two now..

Dzel 06-23-2013 07:48 AM

Theres a thread titled 18g test or something along those lines. It's linked on the first pages of the group by thread showing the different numbers achieved
with different types of free flowing exhaust. I would link it but I'm on that tapahoe!

I think that is the list for people who signed up, not who paid. I didnt pay yet, still waiting for the installation manual :)

elperuano 06-24-2013 10:29 AM

I expect that list to dwindle down to about 5-6. The ones that actually post here lol

I'd be pretty impressed if they actually sold 90 kits in the first year, but I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that they've received payment from over 20 already.

Could be something else I'm remembering though.

khanhvu411 06-24-2013 11:10 AM

From the last posts there are plenty of people already paid.

elperuano 06-24-2013 11:27 AM

I haven't seen that post but if its true that's great.

I'm guessing the list is a list of people that has made a deposit. I asked for a quote on an MHI kit but didn't get added to the list. That'd probably because I didn't pay or put a deposit.
