I don't even have a dash. So I really need to get creative.

just curious if you've seen the work it takes to swap gauges. iirc its a complete dash out install

BlkNismo 04-30-2013 10:11 AM

GTM,

Whats the cost difference to have HKS SSQV Bov's?

Will your 3" downpipes on your site (designed for garret kit) work with this MHI Kit?

Also will these downpipes mate to oem nismo mid pipe or will a reducer be required for the flanges to match?

That's basically right. Someone on this forum managed to do it through the existing holes where the OEM gauges are, but I do not think that is the norm.

Alstann 04-30-2013 10:34 AM

The a pillar is where I'm gonna have my wide band and my boost gauges. I think any custom shop could mold two pods in for not too much - after all, it's just a bit of plastic filler.

I like what DIGI has done and IMO it is an optimum place to replace that useless clock but wanted mine to be able to revert back to OEM without much hassle.

Dzel 04-30-2013 12:00 PM

Very nice. But it is unsafe cause you have to look down. Just saying. :ugh2:

Pull the dash, it's not that difficult, just time consuming.

WC Lathe Werks - Custom unit

Solid, beautiful and so perfectly weighted. Got the AV stuff too but sadly not AV knobs to replace it with.

Z370Z011 04-30-2013 03:46 PM

i want those cool gauges! lol

edub370 04-30-2013 03:52 PM

got an idea... could u maybe get away with not having to pull the whole dash if u went with a super thin gauge such as this plx up top?

http://superstreetimports.net/images...0-200_main.png

can u guys who have swapped the gagues givve some input on what all is involved in this other than jsut pulling the dash? like how they are mounted

Yes.

Well looks like I might be backing out of the group buy. I have a huge project involving my backyard that I need to finish. :shakes head:

Backyard project over a gtm tt kit? :wtf2:

Dzel 04-30-2013 05:29 PM

Yeah I have to lay concrete, set up 10x12 wooden beams for an extension to the roof, and build a fire pit. I also have to put hard wood floors in the living room.

That's cheap and easy to do!! Lol. Pouring concrete is about as easy as taking a piss. A project like that just doesn't pop up. You would have thought about it a while and these turbo kits have been out for months already. Ehhh to each their own. GL with the home improvements :ugh2:

Negative we just got pricing on the materials this week for the cement. We were just going to lay it and call it good. But I do not want to leave it half *** especially with the seed for the grass just sitting there. I'll have to run some numbers and hopefully be able to do both.
