I would think that would be a correct assumption since pump gas is more prevalent and the whole system compensates for ethonol, not gasoline. I think this would be the same as an oem flex fuel system, if it fails and your ethonol content is high, you are gonna have a bad day  ! I hop to never find out, but as with any high performance buid there is always a chance of bad juju even if you do everything thing right.
