HA! You wish buddy.

Sasha is there a way to be able to put an elecronically controlled dump on before the wastegates to let off exhaust to spool faster?

The turbo would spool just a tad quicker because a lot of the exhaust is diverted to atmosphere through the wastegates. It does not need to flow to the back with the exhaust that goes through/out the turbine.
Thanks. There was very little benefit that I could see from a few things I read so I thought I would ask the expert.

I think what you mean is an electronic dump after the wastegate to allow you to vent either to atmosphere or back to the exhaust. Like an electronic exhaust cut-out. If it was before it would just all dump and you wouldn't spool the turbo. Anyway, it just isn't worth the time or trouble. The performance benefit you would see on a street car probably wouldn't even be noticeable, and you get the great disbenefit of incredibly loud exhaust.

Great disbenefit..... Lol awesome vocabulary bro. Seeing as your not always driving around with wastegates open that doesn't really apply. Also, some people like it..... To each their own. Save some money, be a man and run open dumps! Shoot fire, scare people you pass by, it's great fun.

does the location of the turbo make the exhaust any louder/quieter?

If you want to be like Ronita, get Re-circs. That is all. His car is a daily driver so he opted for re-circulation, although I don't know why....he never gets on it!!

Thanks for your insight, "bro." However, the quick spool valve you linked us to doesn't do what the other poster was talking about. I'm not sure you took the time to read the link, but as described there: "The QSV essentially creates a variable turbine housing A/R size by blocking off one side of a divided turbine housing before boost pressure opens the butterfly valve to allow the full size of the housing's A/R." In other words, it doesn't allow exhaust to flow to atmosphere, like say, an electric cut-out valve does. Further, since your QSV requires "both a divided turbine housing and an UNdivided exhaust manifold," it would not apply to ANY kit currently on the market for the Z, including BP's. Hope I kept the vocab simple enough for you this time.

This is not a V8 mustang with a roots blower (positive displacement supercharger) where it makes 400ft/tq at 1200rpm, with a 4800rpm red line.

The turbo will make your current exhaust quieter, as the turbine does act like a muffler. However, when WOT it may be louder due to the extra flow.

As far as all the other stuff...waste gate: either re-circulated or open to atmosphere...there is nothing else to it. Electric cut-outs are made for post turbo applications where the exhaust may be small/restrictive to exhaust flow. IMO not needed at all for the power a stock block can produce safely, with a dual 2.5" exhaust.

The smarter you try to sound the dumber you look! LOL Did you do your research all night? Seeing this is boosted build page I won't take this conversation any further. Bottom line, your a Wikapedia know it all, go get your hands dirty and learn something. Or better yet, keep asking dumb questions about boosted builds which he's been doing for years..... LOL @ GTFO
