Torque kills stock motors not hp IMO
So tuning has to be good to keep a stock motor running for a long time with a lot of torque Else your one hard pull to boom

Whats the weak spot in the VQ? The piston connecting rods? I thought the VQ was pretty rock solid until you start pushing its RPM limit a bit. Would imagine the boys at nissan set it at 7500 for a reason "nismo" ;p
