Actually you are wrong. Please don't make assumptions

Update: I really haven't been providing one because for the last three weeks I have been sitting on a 24 hour deployment alart. Pretty much means they can call me any min and tell me grab your things and be at work in the next hour we are deploying. The shop is also a little busy and they were going to get me squeezed in but I called them up and told them no rush and explained my situation. They said no problem and pushed me back since they had a couple of projects still lined up. I didn't want them to do something or get to a pint to where they might need a deposit or anything else and them not be able to get a hold of me. Also shipping the car back to me I have to be there to receive it since I am the registered owner. So there is multiple situations going on here and the shop is fantastic to be working with me on this. The car is in the same condition that I gave it to them in. He is going to fix the few things I asked him to do for me when he first got it and then throw it on the dyno. That is how the situation sits right now. Has nothing to do with funds RC, my build, or the shop where my car is at, but the fact at any moment I might get a phone call to go somewhere for a little while. Thanks for your interest and I promise I will give updates as they come. There just hasn't been anything to update since now work is holding the process up.
Frank

Hey, if there is anything I can do to help you out let me know. Even as an alternate POC while you are away.

Well thank you very much for your generosity. They still have a date to work on it and the plan is Aug 9. Hopefully they will not deploy me since I been gone already for most of the year and most of last year. My big worry is the transport company since they are pretty firm on me having to be there to accept the car. I asked if they would let my girl sign for it and with no hesitation he said no unless she is also registered to the car. So right now i am weighing my options and I put all plans in to effect just in case I do go. Like I said the shop where my car is at is doing a awesome job to help with this situation, but they have there own problems also. They do not leave car's out. So at the end of everyday all the cars get put in the garage and locked up. Well at the end of August the shop has 4 projects scheduled to come in and there will be no room for them to continue to store my car. Like i said thats all worked out though and honestly I don't think I am going anywhere. By the beginning of next week I should find out if the 24 hr report will be switched to stand down or remain active.

No prob. Besides, I am investing to use you as a future sounding board in the future. Karen was taking bets last night that I would have the raodster TT'd before ZDayZ next year. All joking aside, if there is anything I can do...

Woah, I wasnt saying its taking a while because you can't afford it. All I'm saying is that things didnt work out as planned and its not going to be as cheap as if you had just done it yourself. Not making any assumptions, but don't you think its a safe bet to say that since now you've had to ship it and have someone else work on the car, its going to cost you more money than if you had not? That's all I was getting at.

You are right RCZ my sincere apologize. I may have understood what you said in the wrong context. I sincerely do apologize for falsely accusing you and I was the one to make an assumption. Once again please forgive my piss poor attitude.

To answer your questions though. I wouldn't say it cost more then expected. I assumed that something could go wrong so I set aside some money to accommodate that situation. He didn't find anything extra wrong that I wasn't already aware about, This is the part that made me feel good about the job I did. But upon completion I planned on sending the car some where weather bad or good to a very respectable shop, just to look over my build and to protect my investment. All in all I would have fixed all the things that I have found but to be frank about it I was running out of time. Thats when the real decision came to where I said alright well I planned to send it to a shop anyway so i will just get them to fix the things I have noted. The amount of money spent on everything was between the kit and tools+ shop was pretty damn expensive I Will not lie but this is everything that I have already planned in my budget. My main purpose of me actually installing the kit was for me to learn and understand how it all works. I have never done anything like this before. Yea to save a little money crossed my mind, but i put enough away just in case it had to come to that. The only reason it is taking longer then expected is because me having the car pushed back because of possible deployment.

Any other questions are welcomed and once again RCZ my apologize.
Frank

Frank,
I just meant that you would be great person to bounce ideas/concerns/frustration off of if I decide to TT the roadster because you've been there.

Thanks for the offer. I would love to check our your build when you get her sorted out.

I missed ZDayZ this year too due to several scheduling conflicts. We had booked our cabin when we checked out from the 2009 event so it was pretty disappointing. Good news is, I used my ZDayZ budget to buy the Work wheels I have on the Z32TT.
