So far I have swapped from the Tbatt additional pulley for tension to the tongunz pulley. Have also swapped to a new belt to suit the top gunz pulley (belt is gates K071045). I also swapped the auto tensioner with a new one.

I'm still having slip issues. From my logs it peaks around 12.3psi at 6k rpm then starts dropping down to around 9psi by 7800rpm

While the belt was off I noticed one of the idler pulleys was quite resistent and not spinning smoothly and I'll be changing that next. Would that be it? If not.. Where do I go from here. Its getting frustrating now
Mike,
You might try the K071040 belt. It's a little shorter than the K071045. I believe that's the one Topgunz sold with his kits. He may be able to verify that.

Also, take a flashlight and look closely at the supercharger side for bekt dust. You would see it on the stillen bracket, usually behing the jackshaft pulley and on the rear case of the supercharger. When my boost dropped off that quickly, I had belt slio on the sc side.

Oh yeah, by the way, it doesn't surprise me that your boost is dropping off at 7800rpm. My car made max boost at 7k rpm and then leveled out until 7500rpm and dropped off after that. At 7800rpm, the tuner stopped the pull. It made max hp at 7400rpm but boost had leveled off at 7k.

If TopGunz can confirm that's the belt ill order it and give it a go.

Here's a video looking for any visable belt dust. I can't see any but I also have nfi what to look for exactly 😅https://youtu.be/Qr_2sCwF2Cc

K071040 can fit both stock serpentine side jack pulley and the 9lb pulley.

Are you using 1 or more high traction pulleys as I mentioned to you before?

It's on the list of things I'm ticking off one at a time. But didn't get up to that yet. It's around the corner though haha. Putting a nee idler pulley serp side (one is bunk) and changing to an rpm belt Sc side are the next 2 things in the works... Now just waiting for items to come in the post

Can you take a picture or tell us exactly what part number belt on the SC side that has stopped your belt slip.
I noticed in your video you (were) using a Gates AT belt which stands for "Advanced Technolgy" with longer life, etc. I'm wondering if the "AT" belts are less grippy than the "rpm" belts. I have never used an "AT" belt on my SC.

I'm using the Gates 8PK562 (K080220) on the SC. It doesn't say ''rpm' anywhere on the belt or packaging, does yours?
I've never used the SC belt in the "AT" packaging although it doesn't have "AT" on the belt itself as yours does in your video. That belt was supplied from "CAPA" here in Autralia when I had them upgrade my SC's bearings and change to Si trim.

I'm using the Gates 8PK2764 (K081088) on the serp side along with
TBatt's extra pulley.

Also is your SC "overspun" and if so what are all your SC pulley sizes and therefore SC RPM's?

Finally does your SC have the bearing upgrade done?

I'm just very interested and wanting to be clear on exactly what you've done/used compared to myself.
(PS) I don't use a Turbo Guard or TopGunz little filter. I use a specially cast adaptor from SC to a pod filter via metal tube to suit.

Cheers!

Not to bring up an old thread,

But did you upgrade the supercharger side pulley to the high traction? Where do i get this? Did you upgrade any other pulleys?

Just sent my unit to get the SI upgrade and I'm running the S&G velocity stack screen.
