Fml on carb only way stillen gets kits through is because they are in the system already. It 10's of thousands of dollars for a company to have its first kit certified. Oh and cold starts a bitch with anything over 600cc/min injectors. That's why gtm never got their kit certified yet stillen did. Smaller injectors in the stillen carb kit are for cold starts also why it is such a **** tune out of the box to meet emissions.
That is funny as my Whipple kit has 1050cc injectors and starts up and runs smooth as butter. 0 issues with cold starts or at idle. Leave my car in out over night in 20 degrees and starts right up without any issues. It's all about that tune which it is hard to find a tuner that really knows what they are doing. Thankfully I have Eugene Turkov from Cali remote tuning my Z using ECUTEK. I car should pass carb tests with flying colors but getting through all the politics is anyones guess.

See attached dyno sheet. Car has since had timing added in several spots, mainly on the higher end. This was just a baseline on a heartbreak dyno to see where my build is at.

Install on a car in CA is coming within the next couple of weeks (from what I've been told) and that car will be used to work on getting CA carb legal.

Are the numbers under 500 WHP because you are at 11 psi instead of 12?

Or because it's an auto?

Really? Have you run it on a 5 gas analyzer at cold coldstart and checked it to factory emmissions levels yet?

Edit: dont forget about the $10k third party lab test fee

The answer to that is the fact that this was just a baseline to see where they needed to continue working on the car tune wise. They did in fact work on top end tuning which would have netted him the 500+whp mark. They have been extremely conservative on this car and methodically working on it to slowly add power.

Update on the Carbon Z:

May 1st is the Dyno Day to look forward to. Right now the car has a RJM "Race" 4.3L Stroker Motor and a fully built RJM trans which has been holding up fantastic. The Supercharger is a "High Pressure unit" and is running a 3.5" pulley. There is a 2.8" pulley to be put on the car for High Boost Applications. the 3.5" pulley should net somewhere around ~18psi. If my math is correct the 2.8" pulley should be approximately ~28-30psi!!!

The car has been undergoing other upgrades and fixes on work from other vendors and shops. The car is expected to be at Zdayz again this year.

I will post up any new information I get.

On a separate note I should have some updates on hood cowls next week.

The carbon Z is already seeing 17-18psi by 3000rpm... big advantage over other kits is boost is immediate and the power under the curve is more.
