We shall see what Justins's car does with it. There is not much difference between 17psi of boost at 716hp to 21psi of boost at 780hp (4th gear). I choose to work on the restriction to decrease boost and increase HP if I go any further.

Yeah man we think very alike.

I did everything I could think of to try to free up the top end; cams, valves, ported vhr stack and tbs. I sure hope the results will be there - more power at less boost that is.

Good luck because I failed. LOL I wanted 780hp to 800hp at 18psi of boost. LOL I have a good idea of what direction I will head in the future if I want to chase it some more. I am just not sure it is worth it cost wise for what I want to do.

I'm sure you'll get it during boost weather don't sweat it too much, at this point focusing on optimizing/longevity is a good thing. That's the problem with 700+ whp VQs that just won't go away - keeping the heads down.

Keeping the heads down is a big concern. MA-Motorsports has had great success with that. I am not sure what their machine shop does to be successful with it. I do have a good idea though.

Think you're at the point where you are starting to chase your tail. To go farther, it's going to cost a lot more. And you realize that.

Yeap, I am at that point. The 800hp point is what I call it. The point where it get's expensive quick if you go past it. I learned a few things along the way and have some theories of my own on how to improve if I wanted to. I am not chasing my tail. I know exactly where I want to go next.

Glad you are back. Now let's have some fun. I am OK with being small tators, I have always thought I was.

You are far from a small Tators brotha. It will be interesting to compare our numbers of both cars we have a lot ot the same parts. Just a few things different I'm closed deck slightly bigger fuel pumps and different turbo kit of course. My car will be on the same dyno/tuner yours was this coming Monday.

This is going to be fun! I will pretty much have the same setup as Spooler/Blueranger. Blueranger is auto though. Our builds are be done by Seb and his should be completed in the next month or so hopefully and mine by the end of the year.

Post your dyno graphs back up in a new thread or here. Where ever you want really. LOL I would like to see your results.

Elmo370z 08-01-2019 02:57 PM

Dayum. We all going to be running similar set ups

Elmo370z 08-01-2019 02:59 PM

Closed deck, open deck, semi closed deck, deck party, decKadent <- yeah I know.

Considering I did my first built motor 7 years ago at a time when there wasn't a Fast Intentions TT kit AAM TT kit or Boosted Performance kit. I will make a thread and post the graphs.

I guess I got excited too quick. The station actually has NON-ethanol gas. Some stupid redneck must have entered it in wrong in the Gas Buddy app.

LOL, I knew you would be posting. I can't daily drive on that stuff unless you are paying. If so, order me a pallet of 4.

In case you guys didn't know, I have picked up my car. I am at the house. Been a long day. More updates later. Too tired to give a hoot at the moment. I am going to bed.

madwi 08-07-2019 03:23 AM

Cool, man. Hope you are enjoying it. Can’t wait to hear your impressions of it after you get some rest.

Spooler 08-07-2019 03:41 AM

Love it. The ATS Triple Carbon clutch is awesome. Worth every penny I spent on it. It has no more clutch pedal pressure than stock. It feels like stock. She has some vibrations from the solid motor mounts and solid subframe mounts. Doesn't bother me any. The roads are tight in MA's neck of the woods. Couldn't stretch her legs too much. She is nasty.

Good news then! Hook up the 4K go pro and lets see the show! Popcorn and beverages on me!

Spooler 08-07-2019 03:53 AM

Talked with Brian today. We can get more out of the car if we retune with Ignite E90 fuel. Vince said it would be a good bit more. I just don't see the need. It is tuned exactly where I want it to be. Vince has her running real crisp on pump E85. Very happy with it. I have never heard another Fast Intentions car run like it does. It just sounds nasty as hell.

I hear ya. I am off this week but the Honey Do list is large. Freaking rained like crazy and my grass jumped a foot in 2 days.

LMK when you’re ready for a start,,,unsure tracks in Georgia.
Darlington is pretty darn clean- I’ll have to call Carolina Dragway & see if they’ve re-paved theirs...not as many 1/4 mile tracks these days.

I did that after I saw how y'all consume it at ZDayZ 2018 ;)

Wake up! I want deets lol

Spooler 08-07-2019 04:52 PM

The car is just flat out nuts. I was running it on the 17psi setting and it just keeps pulling. Dropped down to 4th and it took off nose in the air. The steering wheel actually got light. Bang into the next gear at 7k, same thing. Nose was up in the air. It pulled so hard it was stupid, and it just keep pulling. The whole time I could feel the 325 R888r's slipping ever so slightly in my butt. That was at the 716hp boost setting. The car is just nasty fast. I will save the 21psi setting for a 1/2 mile event. I just don't see the need for it on the street. If you are one of those guys chasing more than 800hp on the street, good luck. You won't use it. Save your money.
