Big thing with women over there at the time was blue jeans and panty hose. Every trip over. I would have a suitcase full of that stuff for exchange. |

I guess it must just be his mental "health" that puts him in lala land :icon17: |

Beside, I did a work all day, come home take a 45min nap, and back to work at 11:30. I got home at 5:00am this morning. Fixed my well pump, and was in bed at 6:00am or so. I have been busy. |

It took Carl a few times on the Dyno for mine - first breaking the motor in and then seeing where it was at on pump gas. He started to make adjustments to see what the motor liked. He changed out the waste gate spring until he found the right one -seeing that the boost would be on spring pressure for 93 octane. After the pump gas tune he did the same with E85 and 3 more boost settings for the E85. Took him a few weeks (somewhat) before it was finished They did discover that on pump gas and low boost the AAM I/C would heat soak at regular driving speeds - no boost (full bypass) My tune did take awhile with some delays and I never did get to find out how much power it made on pump gas. That info was lost in the mass of information in Daelens folder for my car when he left. Sorry to see him go, but his wife was in the Army and she elected not to re-enlist due to an upcoming reassignment. They decided to head back to home and family in Minnesota. Soooo --- Each Tune is different --- it might take a little bit of tweaking until Carl is satisfied with yours. |
I am good with Carl taking his time with my car. No issues from me. The deadline is getting close though. It's gonna be what it is going to be.

Yep cheaper to do it right the first time. But I’m still religiously checking the forum for update on this, even tho I am on family vacation lol

Don't expect any updates until Thursday/Friday of this week. That is when Carl will be back on the job.

Houston, we have a problem. The tuning was going well last Friday at 10-11psi of boost. Making in the 550hp range. He then started to turn up the boost and the motor didn't respond. Turned it up 5psi of boost and it only made 5 more hp. So, Carl stopped and pulled the car off the dyno. They will be doing a bunch of double checks on the timing today. I hope they find the issue. Building and modifying cars is not always peaches and creme. SNAFU, it is my car. This is par for the coarse. I may not make it to Zdayz with it. No worries, plan B will be implemented. Not real happy at the moment but sheit happens.

Sorry to hear that, hang in there man, you know it will be worth it in the end

Again, sorry I don't have the exact numbers - Daelen had relayed this info to me from his recollection of a conversation with Carl when he was doing the pump gas Tune. Daelen also told me that they stop increasing the boost when it makes less than 10 whp per 1 lb of boost increase. The law of diminishing returns --- no significant performance gain but the risk to the motor significantly increases. I'm still dialing in the car (and my driving skills) on pump gas before I go E85. |

I was just clarifying ... if you want your pigs to be able to continue to devour human corpses efficiently then you'll want to shave the excess hair and remove the teeth before feeding them.
If you use a wood chipper, then of course it can handle everything. But you'll still have a lot of leftovers :twocents: And it's messy af. Have you seen Fargo? |
