I just measured the supercharger pulley on the serpentine side and it is 2.9" . Is this the normal pulley? I thought it was 3.1 or 3.2". Isn't this the pulley that gets changed to the 2.75" one for the 9 psi?

My Serp pulley is a 2.90" also. I bought my kit used too. I have that coupled with the 3.0 SC pulley and 3.2" JS pulley. It makes 12psi with the SI trim.

It should be 3.2 or 3.1, I tried a 2.75 but that when my supercharger blew up. Don't use that with the 9lb pulley, that pulley alone is probably over spinning it or real close.

I haven't changed any pulleys. They are all standard. Isn't the one on the serpentine side the one to replace for the 9lb upgrade?

Yes I did. I measure them all earlier. The ones on the Jack's haft and supercharger (8 rib ones) are around 3.1". The one on the serpentine side is around 2.9". I'm only seeing 7 psi boost.

Both on the jack shaft are the same size stock, I'm not positive on the size but I know it's in the big thread about a2a.

Where did you get the pulley for the serpentine side?

What size did you use and what was the boost?

I broke the first supercharger with a 2.75 then changed to a 3.0 for the second one, it was around 10psi but not 100 percent positive. I have long tube headers on my car so it's going to be less than others will see with cats. I don't know that over spinning the supercharger caused the first one to go but I wasn't chancing it. At the track my car sees red line hundreds of times in a weekend so it takes a lot more beating than most street cars.

Well, looks like another set back. Looks like I'm not having the best of luck. The CJM S1 upgrade kit that was sent to me was missing a line, so my shop has to make one, since it would take too long to have Charles send one out.

I asked Charles a last minute question about possibly hardwiring the Walbro 450 and he told me that we should probably upgrade the wiring, since it runs very hot on stock and probably wouldn't last. Parts should be here on Tuesday, so I'm hoping this will be it finally.

My Turbo Supra buddy loaned me a book to read this weekend "Engine Management Advanced Tuning" Engine Management: Advanced Tuning: Greg Banish: 9781932494426: Amazon.com: Books

Great source of info about turbo and supercharging. No less than two places in there it states that air temperature must be measured post cooler as close to the intake manifold as possible. Way to go TopgunZ!

If you really want to understand the how and whys of boost, this is a must read! It is also well written and easy to understand the concepts presented.
