Topgunz - air to air upgrade

My fuel issue "should" be fixed by Saturday. If all goes as planned, tuning will resume on Monday. 2 months without boost; no bueno.

Charles said it's probably something in the installation, since a faulty part is highly unlikely. The upgraded S1 changes the kit completely, so any issues I possibly have now should be resolved. That is unless they mess up this install too.

My S1 has been rock solid for me so far.

The fuel return kit is fine. I need the upgraded kit to run E85 anyways. I'm also swapping out for the Walbro 450, since it will have a built in filter.

Mine was the first one he did on a Stillen kit. He told me he was guessing on a couple parts but they all fit perfect the first time. Mine only has a 250 in it.

Yeah the setup is fine. I'm running S1 with the 340. Something has to be wrong with the install because my fuel pressure drops at the higher rpms.

Are you on pump gas Pauly?

Milkcow, is a 450 necessary for e85? I'm going to continue letting you be the guinea pig before I do anything to my G. I'll just purchase the Stillen kit and then wait on your results.

I really wish you would have dyno numbers on 93 octane and and e85 so I can determine if it is worth the extra.

Regardless, thanks for keeping us abreast. Best of luck on the build.

I'm getting tuned on 93 octane. After that's dialed in I will tune for e85. You will be fine for e85 with 1000cc injectors and a 340 pump.

The 450 is not necessary. I'm going to be doing my initial tune on 93 first and then move onto E85 (I'll be going flex fuel fyi) in maybe a month or so. From what Charles told me, the upgraded S1 + Walbro 450 will be a HUGE upgrade from where I 'would' be at right now. I'm pretty much going overboard, since I'm not even going to be running on the SI unit.

Well atleast if you decide to go with a the SI, your fuel is already there.

Better safe than sorry.

So is it better to go with the 340 aeromotive stealth pump or the 450 walbro pump for the e85/Stillen a2a?

The 450 will be "better", but isn't necessary. Keep in mind, you need a fuel return kit with an external filter in order to run the 450. I know Topgunz had plans to go with the 450 eventually, but he is running the standard S1 kit right now.
