How much does a V3 unit cost Aaron? I want to upgrade mine with the 928 impeller, possibly bearings, but since my car is my dd I would have to send in a different unit.

928 has some issues here.

Let me know if you struggle to find a solution we could maybe work something out

TopgunZ 12-18-2017 07:52 AM

Getting close guys.

So you somehow managed to convince stillen to sell you the bracket and manifold? This is an awesome option for those who prefer SC!

overtureZ 12-18-2017 09:33 AM

Teach me how to deal with stillen LOL because I am having a hard time just getting them to sell me the new set of damn extension cables.. terrible customer service I think

Exactly. Because it has already been tested, tried and true. There really shouldn't be any questions on if this kit will function as intended and guys saying "I'm going to wait and see how it performs and let them work the kinks out". This kit is guaranteed to make the power SC guys are after while keeping it safe. No need to reinvent the wheel. Lets just boost and go!!

I havent started a new thread because I dont have 100% of the parts in the picture and I do not want to have questions come up about it and for rumors to start. I still need the newly designed brackets, block off plate and GTR spark plugs in the pic. It will be supplied with the DILKAR8A8's.

Not to mention at a very affordable price. $5999!!

VERY NICE Topz!!!! There has been a void in the market for this kind of kit since GTM was publicly executed. Should fly off the shelves at that price point. Is this going to be a tuner style kit? i.e. no fuel or base tune?

TopgunZ 12-18-2017 09:53 AM

Yes, it will be a tuner kit. Because there are just so many options and different paths guys want to take with fuel setups. I will offer the best injectors (ID1050x's) at a price that cant be beat which will meet all pump gas needs and most E85 builds. But I am going to have everyone talk to CJ Motorsports to meet their specific fuel needs. Its pretty obvious he has more knowledge in that department than every here combined and will get people set up right.

overtureZ 12-18-2017 10:01 AM

The block of plate you have now is great, but I would get TopgunZ etched into the front of it :happydance:

TopgunZ 12-18-2017 12:13 PM

I was thinking of putting this somewhere. Block off plate? on The Y pipe? Or just leave it off cuz its not as cool as I think?

It's badass IMO. Lends itself well to stickers people will want to put in their car.

TopgunZ 12-18-2017 12:54 PM

Or this on the upper left corner of block off plate? Who would want this? IT couldnt be black but I would make a stamp and have it silver most likely.

Should do something for sure so when people go to sell the car/kit, buyers know 1. it's NOT a stillen kit, 2. it's also not some hacked up version of. It's the TOPGUNZ kit!

Can I get my Intercooler polished on the front?

Also, are you including a Tbatt style brace?

TopgunZ 12-18-2017 02:16 PM

Brace or pulley? I have my own mod I will be doing.

This is it.

I already have the GTR plugs in my car is there a chance we can leave those out and just put them toward the injectors? Don’t mean to fret though as once this is done ill probably have to treat you to a weekend in Breckenridge or something

Yeah no problem. I can do that. Make it Steamboat Springs and we have a deal. The party scene there is so much better.

Senna-F1 12-19-2017 12:50 PM

Hey Topz, I bought the GT-R plugs as well as part of my pre-build buy list Google Sheet. I too though will still need injectors and adapters.

So maybe it wasn't a Tbatt brace, seems JTran did this one, but maybe it's overkill for anyone running even your smallest pulley? Can you talk about pulley options yet?

http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...ml#post2972271

TopgunZ 12-19-2017 12:58 PM

That brace was used when guys were trying to run COG setups. Any bit of flex would throw the cog belt off enough to chew it up since the COGS do not have sidewalls like a ribbed pulley. I also went through 3 belts trying that. The brace you see (which ended up on my car) is not needed.

Is something needed if running the 9 psi pulley and maxing out the supercharger? Yes, a little more tension on the belt and pulley. This is accomplished by the above picture. Only my kit will be running a 3.12 serp side, 2.95 SC and 3.33 Jachshaft so there should be even less slip or zero.

acorona370 12-19-2017 03:08 PM

I go MIA for 4 months and Topgun basically has his own kit ready to go congrats !

Kits running great with e85 and a couple extra goodies i had installed with CJM mostly a weekend car but living in Chicago its been put away for the winter/salt. Planning on taking the blower out to get the SI trim / impeller. is this the best route we are taking still for maximum gains? lol and where is everyone getting the 9 lbs pulley still?

TopgunZ 12-19-2017 03:49 PM

Yes, the Si trim is the way to go.

To spin the charger faster you can either source the 9psi pulley, which is around $200 now from places like ConceptZ, and add a pulley or tensioner to prevent slip. Or, swap the supercharger and jackshaft pulley which are $100 each. But you have to have the right combination to avoid running out of tensioner or you will need to buy a larger tensioner idler pulley.

Hey could be worse, back in the day we were machining longer stroke tensioner brackets..lol.. Live and learn.

This is why I am making a kit that just has it all done for you guys. Si trim and all.

Johnny6.1 12-19-2017 05:37 PM

Just to confirm for us California folks.... since this looks like the stillen kit (majority), it's still CARB legal?

brucelidat 12-19-2017 05:39 PM

I am sure the answer is no. Even the Stillen kit doesn't get the CARB sticker if you buy the tuner one, only if you get the full kit with their canned tune. CARB is very specific.

Unfortunately it will not be CARB. brucelidat is correct, the only way to have stillen carb is the 8psi kit and their canned tune.

Which means you will have a CARB legal car that runs like crap.......

goeagles11 12-20-2017 09:53 AM

Tried searching through the thread....any dyno charts of this kit?

True, but once you have the carb sticker you can re-tune and when it's time for smog inspection as long as you have the sticker and don't throw any codes then you're good to go.

But, it wouldn't be worth the time (bureaucratic bullcrap) and money for topgunz to pursue the carb certification as he's going to sell a ton of these without it, even to California people.

True. I still feel sorry for you guys that have to put up with the CARB stuff. Seems a bit unfair in that the rest of the country can boost away while you have to live with 91 octane gas and emission restrictions that the rest of don't have to do. You guys should revolt and join the rest of us. It's not too late.....
