Soho is thinking i will be in the 600 range but we will wait and see. I’m doing all the right things with the fuel upgrades and big injectors. I’m actaully going to run 1350CCs.... I know its a little overkill but just investing for the future.

I just ran across this article yesterday. It should be a sticky. You don't want back pressure, and what you have should be good if you're ok with the sound. From my research, FI and cats just don't work very well. Unless, you have BIG cats, or maybe break them in correctly, or maybe the Fast Intentions Mil Spec cats? In general though, I think most recommend no cats with any form of FI.

This explains back pressure v/s scavenging and why some incorrectly assume back pressure = more HP.

https://motordyneengineering.com/exh...nd-scavenging/

I'm running the Fast Intentions CBE along with their resonated TP and Mil Spec cats. I am not having any issues with lost boost. I'm still getting 9psi with my setup using the Vortec 2.95 pulley and the A2A system.

Dyno and Tune today with the A2A Kit! I am more than happy with the results! Thank you Jon@Z1!!

Nice job, was that on 93 octane? How are you liking the power difference?

overtureZ 11-18-2017 02:29 PM

Yes sir, 93 pump gas. And I am loving it!

Is it 9psi pulley? How much timing are running on 500whp run?

Great numbers! Awesome torque curve, hitting 300wtq around only 3000rpm and it doesn't drop till 7k...I bet she pulls hard! Is this the standard trim or Si impeller?

bcfromfl 11-18-2017 04:31 PM

That graph is exactly why I like s/c over TT. Great job!

Still the stock blower, and pulleys besides Tbatts tensioner pulley.
Jon did say to hit 500+ (map2) he had to advance the timing a bit. This was still hit on nothing but 93 pump gas with stock pulleys and trim.

Not much to watch, but here is the final pull: https://youtu.be/j2gaq0vRX90

TopgunZ 11-18-2017 07:54 PM

Dang. If you would drop 1 pulley by .20" and ran si trim you would easily hit 550.

overtureZ 11-19-2017 12:12 AM

Oh it's coming ;) I'll be in touch for sure on what route to take for pulley size!

Hi guys
Is anyone experiencing a flat spot at low revs/between gear changes
I've been watching my afr and it seems to momentarily go realy rich for a second
I'm wondering if it's bov related so wanted to ask you guys knowing you are running same set up

Ps here's my dyno sheets from stock stillen kit to air to air

Not quite sure how to read this. Your initial graph says your on a 350z and your hitting higher tq earlier in the band. I've never seen this.

But I do like your (actually measured) a2a 54 degree Fahrenheit intake temps. Chilly!

edit* yup ...says BHP top left.

Sorry yeah
That's a typo regards 350z it was my old set up on my last 370z don't know why it says 350
Topz charge temps are awesome they never go 5/6 degree above ambient as before they were hitting 60c on dyno hence the reading showing fuel being added in to cool things
I had the issues with my impeller as you know so now the blower is refreshed I will go back for another tune up I think he struggled to get a clean tune and now I know why my impeller was broken .

Yeah and that dip around 4000 isnt helping much either.

FWIW, I dyno'd my car when it was stock just prior to SC install and had a dip similar to your dip right at 4700 rpm.

Hey Topz, any updates on the kit? Specifically to what I ordered--would you be able to get everything from Stillen minus the blower or would it just be easier for me to get their kit and buy the A2A alone? They're having a black friday sale on the SC kit at stillen so I'm just tempted to do that for now so at least I'm getting started unless you have a better bracket. The blower I sent into 928 I've received one friggin email in the month they've had it. They suggested I replace the shaft but they don't have the part, I asked them if I could order a part from somewhere else and have it shipped to them rather than them just sending me back the blower to ship elsewhere which they never responded to, then I sent another email asking them to ship back the blower and give me back a refund minus shipping and still haven't heard anything back. I'm tempted to file a dispute with paypal but 928 would still have my blower so I feel like I have no leverage whatsoever if I don't want to chance getting screwed. I definitely advise people to stay away from 928 right now, I'm about to sh!t all over their facebook page with complaints I'm trying to be chill but this is getting crazy. I get that superchargers might be their side business taking the bench to their porsche 928 work or whatever tf, but never answering their phone/responding to voicemails or email this long is unacceptable

Hey bud. Just give me a call. I'll help you out. PM me if you need my number again.

Welcome to the world of aftermarket parts and service ...
A month wait isn't uncommon.
It took about 3 months for Vortech to rebuild my SC'r with the upgraded impeller.
I've been waiting 3 months for a steering wheel that was promised in 2 weeks
6 months for a twin fuel pump set up ... + more

Since then I've gone over to twin turbos ...
The car has now been in build for 4 years - long story on that one.
Mega parts delays, and extreme incompetency on the part of 2 different shops resulting in 2 blown motors.
I can't tell you how many times I've heard the phrase '2 weeks' only to have it turn in to 2 months and longer.

The car is now at MA-Motorsports in Glen arm Maryland and they are the best - race proven - extremely knowledgeable, talented, reliable, and honest.
Should have taken the car there in the first place.

Patience is a virtue when building a car - remember that you are at the mercy of others.

Well, a little teaser. Those are 3 fully built Si trim superchargers with y pipes ready to go. Just need a couple more items and I will publish my full kits. I will focus on quick lead times once the kits are paid for.

Nice Topgunz! Have any plans for install manual or do we need to repurpose what’s already available, what ever that may be?

Hey Aaron,
Do the impellers on the si superchargers look different than the sci's? Can you take a pic of the si sc impeller and post it?

Senna-F1 11-25-2017 07:33 PM

What psi/pulley comes with these? There are some deals going on now if it just comes with the 8 psi.

cwrenny 11-25-2017 09:37 PM

I like what I'm seeing!!! Def. going to be interested in this kit!

I was talking to topz yesterday and he said his full kit will come with all the right pulleys. I didn't clarify if that was with the pulley spacer etc from tbatt but if it is i already got one from tbatt so you could get mine if thats the case

I've got the si sc, I just haven't seen a pic of the physical difference between the si and sci impeller.

You can try it. But you will lose some power due to the insane bend in the coupler that needs to fasten to the SC. I tried a few different setups and the one I supply made the most. Also, I think it is just as hard, if not harder to take the front bumper off instead of 5 bolts from the engine bay. No need to jack the car up also.

I'll have a play over winter
Mines of the road now any way so plenty time to play with it
I might find I stick with the filter on the blower bit personally I find removing the charger a right knuckle scraper.
How much power difference was you seeing topz

Pretty sure you have the wrong forum member listed. I’m not running a SCer or Topgunz A2A upgrade.
