I know 928 you can choose between clear aluminum or black. It haven't seen a srillen one that is anything other than black. JB pulleys are right from Vortech I believe and not coloured either. Not that it makes much difference at the end of the day. I'm just glad my bright green belt has turned mostly black now lol

I want one kit :)

I need one kit. Can you send me ok with payment info and delivery date :)

Thanks

As many of you know, there is demand for a good solution to the water to air design of the Stillen kit. I have made my own and it is working perfect and has put down 527whp on 12psi with E85.

I do not think I need to go into the benefits of going Air to Air since anyone reading this will know just how terrible the water system works. Anything over 9psi is playing with fire. The Air to Air is coming in just above ambient on my setup and I will be utilizing an even bigger intercooler on the presented kit.

I am working on making this kit available for purchase. I am going to send all files to a very reputable party to have them build the components. I am going to test fit the first kit on my car then have it dyno tested. I will post results as soon as possible.

Kit will include:
-New Air filter - Eliminating stillen Y intake and small dual filter design
-Piping from Supercharger to intercooler
-Bypass Valve Mount adapter
-Treadstone Intercooler rated for 720HP
-Intercooler mounting brackets
-All cold side piping and intakes - 2.75" Custom Y pipe with MAF housings - Blow through design will allow computer to see temps unlike current design
-Manifold Block off plate (with gasket maker)
-All silicone couplers and T-bolts
-Vacuum hose
-Installation instructions

Possible Stage 2 kit:
Upgrade to V1 or V2 Ti/Si head unit - Capable of more power than the V3. Will come with all necessary parts to upgrade to this unit.

This kits cost is $1475 shipped. FREE SHIPPING AND ZERO PAYPAL FEES

The hardest part about installing this kit will be taking the aftercooler out of the manifold as this requires the removal and re-installation of the manifold. Other than that it is about as difficult as installing a Stillen Gen3 cold air intake.

EDIT - Can pull out aftercooler and hacksaw it off if you would prefer. No need to take manifold off and put back on.

Here are some pics of the kit installed on both a G and a Z. You can see there are different BPV options as well with this kit. I will help you with what you need.

Me too!

Too bad that Gates doesn't make that length belt in their racing blue color. But then again it would just turn black.......

I'm a John Deere fan so the green makes me think of their slogan, "Nothing Runs Like A Deere". Yeah, nothing runs like a boosted Z either! Dang, my car is FUN!

Here's the 8psi pulley that came with my Stillen kit...has a bluish color....was everyone else's silver?

Thats really, really odd. I would put a caliper on them for sure.

StillenZ84 06-19-2017 05:35 PM

Would def check the sizes. My silver pulley was the 8 psi and measured 3.12. My 9 psi was black and measured 2.75 or around there. I went from 8.5 psi with the 8 psi pulley to a little over 10 with the 9 psi.

Topgunz, any update on how your SC kit is going?

Well my boost did increase between the 2 pulleys...with the Bluish pulley I was pushing about 7.8 psi.... just shy of 8psi.....Stillen said this was caused by me running TP'S and having no cats (back pressure theory) so they sent me the 9b pulley and my car has been pushing 9~9psi on it .

Did you do a straight swap and retune or was it done all at the same time as when you put the A2A kit on?

Slower than I wanted (story of our lives). My summer has been crazy!

TBatt 06-20-2017 08:31 AM

My 8psi pulley is silver and most that I have seen on the forum are silver (bare aluminum). The color is just a coating (anodizing) and should not effect performance. The "high traction" pulleys are often bead blasted for a more aggressive "bite" of the belt surface. I'm not sure how effective this treatment is over time.

One thing that I have noticed on the micro-v belts is that the ribs are fairly wide compared to the pulley groove. As the belt is put under tension the ribs are pulled into the grooves (standard V belt workings) and increase the surface area/traction. They do reach a limit when the force is greater than the traction. You gotta remember that a SC is drawing somewhere between 50 and 70 hp to create the boost we so love.

ChaseZ 06-20-2017 09:25 AM

I didn't realize the 'high traction' pulleys were just bead blasted. Thought it was a coating for some reason. Heck I've got a bead blasting cabinet in the garage so can make all the high traction I want lol

Nah....I got the 9psi pulley swap early on when I first purchased and installed my Stillen kit a few years ago....when the Air 2 Air Kit was nothing more than a discussion of this forum....It's been tuned by Seb since then with all the upgrades since that time...including the A2A...car is still producing 9~9.5 psi right now but feels sooooo much better on the A2A kit.:happydance: I'm getting belt slip.which Never happened on the the Stillen Kit....which is why I'm gonna install the Idler Pulley Kit from TBatt

370Zsteve 06-20-2017 09:35 PM

Anyone running this with the Stillen front fascia?

You'd think it would not be a problem considering the extra room vs the OEM fascia but it does incorporate a different windshield washer fluid reservoir so who knows. Just covering all the bases. :ughdance:

I believe they have a coating.

Yeah. Different A2A kit maybe? lol.

turtle64b 07-01-2017 06:46 AM

^^^What he said.

It's not difficult. you can sand it and get some paint to make it look almost stock. I don't have a picture, but I used Rustoleum Gloss black, I believe, and it looks the same. I also used a Dremmel with the metal cutting wheel. It took 3 wheels to do the job lol.

I thought I saw in this thread that someone had run a tube from their Tial 50mm to elsewhere... Has anyone done this? My BOV actually blows the wheel shroud apart from the quarter panel haha. Looking to redirect this. If you've done this, what size hose did you use and where did you put it (giggety)? Thank you!

I wonder how many people off this board have already called them up like "Can I just buy a blower, manifold, and a bracket?"

You took the words right out of my mouth! And Stillen did show up on this thread awhile back...you know they are watching!

Just a :tiphat: to TopZ and all those who have been actively participating and contributing to this thread. I've been on this forum since 2009 and have never seen anything like it.

TopZ is a good dude ! :worship:

I hope Stillen isn't watching thread. I would rather TopZ finish developing full kit. He deserves it with all the work he has done. Would hate to see it stolen buy the big guys.

TopZ kit I didn't have to sign waver or send money order to keep off the books like Stillen does to there customers. :ohsnap1:

Boost Performance built an awesome kit for manual cars, TopZ solved the issues in the stillen kit and now 7AT and Manual have a new option.. This Forum is Fing Awesome. :usa:

Z owners are Fing Awesome ! Merica! :tiphat:

brucelidat 07-04-2017 06:12 PM

Really looking forward to this kit. I think there are a lot of people interested in SC, but were held back by limited options. It was either shady GTM/gamma or crappy Stillen kit.

This is true...you are one of the OG members that have been on here since I joined in 2010. That was a time when a lot of vendors were so active on thr forum. When Fast Intentions threads had daily repsonses from Tony...way before FI even had a TT kit and only sold echaust components for the Z....and when guys had aspirations of breaking 350WHP on a Naturally Aspirated Z LOL.....

Within that time this forum has really grown and matured with awesome members who have shared their knowledge and skills. I've been a member of other car forums in the past and I have to sa....... by far this is the best forum I've been on. This is what a car Forum should be like......

StillenZ84 07-08-2017 01:09 PM

We are about to make some big numbers hopefully with this kit. Trying to get this tuning perfect.

Aaron has changed the game for a lot of us and is still making improvements to the kit to make it even better. Big ups to him for sure.

TopgunZ 07-08-2017 07:21 PM

Evan, let me know if you want my gen 2 y pipe and L pipe setup. I'll hook you up for cheap.

milkcow500 07-10-2017 12:07 PM

Brian's r35 manifold setup with 8psi stillen kit finally done. This is just a base tune, but the graph looks pretty smooth and efficiency seems like it'll be good. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7455975f41.jpg

Any concerns with revving that high with boost? My tuner actually lowered my rev limiter.... My understanding is that revs put far more stress on the motor than boost does.

What maxes out first the stillen pump or the injectors? I have the 9lb pulley already, wondering if upgrading the pump and not the injectors would show any gain/benefit? They have pumps locally and not injectors, so I could only install one before I dyno my a2a kit.

The Pump is what you want to have good pressure to your injectors. If you're using the Stillen supplied 600cc Deatschewerks, they're spray pattern is not as great as what is being offered out there in comparison to Bosch or Injector Dynamics (ID).

If you choose to keep the Stillen pump and Injectors the next best thing to do would be install a Fuel Return System.

Who's still running standard MAF's or has everyone upgraded to the UpRev GT MAF's?

I'm going Si trim upgrade (already have the 9lb stillen pulley)/e85 + air to air conversion from here, would rather change over to Ecutek instead of buying the UpRev MAF's but if I need to do both may just stick with UpRev.

If you go EcuTek, just tune via SD. I'm on hybrid tune with oem MAFs currently.
