Have you been able to hold the power when WOT switching from 3rd to 4th, or 4th to 5th? Or has the clutch slipped some

I get it on flex fuel cars that are designed for using gas and e85 but have heard issues with seals/gaskets and corrosion from additional water on retrofits. This might just be with older cars using steel and cork materials. Not 100% sure as facts and myth are usually mixed in.

Yes sir... measured.

TopgunZ 09-14-2016 03:57 PM

I ran nothing but e85 for 3 years with zero issues. Any newer car has all ethanol resistant material as most gas has e in it anyway.

Sounds about right. Only thing I have on you is the SI impeller and extra tensioner pulley up front and I am seeing 12.3 psi. Was seeing a constant 11 psi without the extra pulley and gained over a psi just from the extra wrap from the additional pulley up front. Working with Sebz to get the tune right with my additional boost.

What kind of numbers are you doing bud? I'm really interested in that extra pulley as well.

That's the bad thing is I still haven't been on the dyno. It's killing me not knowing my numbers and I know it's killing Topgunz. Good dynos here in OK are hard to come by. I'm 100% sure I'm over 500whp. I can hang with 650hp CTSVs, 500 plus Vettes, 335is, I beat stock hellcats, and can beat 600cc bikes. Car is so much fun to drive.

And running ethanol obviously helps a lot.

Thnx for the tips Topz.....Wish we had Ethanol out here....I don't ever see that as an option....it's either 91 @ the pump or Race Gas.....

What tires are you on? It's not getting swirly at 500whp? I got hankook v12 evos and they get swirly with the small amount of power I have at full takeoff. Can't image at 500whp especially on the dig run with the evo.

Im on Mickey Thompson ET Streets. Those paired with Ecutek's adjustable traction control I can take off from a dig and not spin at all. From a dig I keep the TC on around 15% and Im good. If I turn it all the way to 0% I will roast the tires off for sure. From a roll I keep it on about 5% and usually never have any problems. That is from a 40 and up. Anything lower I might have to take the TC up a little. Just depends on the road.

EcuTek options coming in handy. MT only on the rear? Stock up front?

They definitely come in handy. EcuTek is amazing. 305/35/19 MT's on the rear and 265/35/19 RE-11's up front.

Yep ... the M/T's really helped with the traction and the wheel hop.
Waiting on my car to finally be done - have gone with EcuTek T/C as well.
Can't wait to drive it again after 2 1/2 yrs.

Man that is so odd. (As if it hasn't been the past year) I am on my 8th revision with Sebz since I added that additional tensioner pulley up front. We should be finishing up pretty quickly on the new tune.

Hannibal 09-16-2016 04:12 AM

Hey Tops, I'm after your A2A upgrade kit. Sent you pm but must be busy. Hit me up a reply as I'm good to go if you got any stock.

Sorry man, I should have said that! The Z ran for 75 sec with both AFR at 14.7 then all of a sudden bank to went to 20 and stayed there.

The vette is an amazing car! I ordered tires and carbotech XP 10s for it yesterday to take it to Sebring Oct 1st and 2nd.

Yes, I have been away for work every day of the week for the past 5 weeks now and my wife is due in 2 weeks.

But, I am grounded now for a the next several weeks so I will be able to engage in more "kit" activity.

Yes, not having any clutch slip yet but I'm not at full boost either. Tomorrow I'm back to working on it again.

I've been real busy with having to take care of my mom. My sister will be here this weekend so I can have some time off. My mom will have hospice care starting today. My mom is not going to be around much longer as her cancer is getting worse.

Family first.

Z&I 09-16-2016 08:55 PM

Sorry to hear about your Mom ...
Lost mine a few years ago the same way ...
Peace be with you and your family...

I have a built auto but with Sebz launch hack I can stall it up to 2500 or so when I dig.

My Z has had 4 clutches in it but I have only drivin two of them. (Car has only 18k on it too, hahah)

The ACT six puck was not very friendly, it lasted maybe 9k miles, I would say only go 6 or 4 puck if you are just tracking the car and do not drive it in stop and go traffic. I do not even know how you would drag with one of those clutches, it sends too much power to the wheels too quickly and you just spin unless you take off flippin slow.

Bought a Z1 sprung clutch, probably the cheapest clutch you can get for this car and so far it is awesome, no slipping, smooth starts, way easier to start out faster....they say the puck clutches are better for faster shifts while moving but I cannot tell a difference....

Has anyone tried the Z1 ported lower intake manifold

https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...hr-p-8835.html

or the EPS big bore throttle bodies with this stillen supercharger?

https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...hr-p-9476.html

I was going to buy both before I put top gunz's A2A kit on since that area will be all apart anyways and needs retuned once they are on too.

My A2A kit has just been sitting in my room, I am sick of looking at it!!!! need to put it on! That tial BPV does look cool though

Holy 5hit man! I have been so busy I never got around to watching these. But damn, you are crushing some serious competition there! Glad you are able to open her up and see/show what the upgrade is capable of. Very impressive.

I was never in my car and didn't have the open road to go pound some runs like that out. I did take a 560whp ctsv, a couple 335s, m3, and a handful of sti s. Props to you for taking the vids and showing the capability.

Sooo for the dozenth time...how much is she making??? :stirthepot:

Lol my ECU has over 100 flashes. 92 of them being for the wrong rom, a g37. I was having small problems here and there that we just couldn't figure out. Seb said the wrong rom was the culprit. So now I'm on my 9th revision after starting completely over on the correct 370z rom. Has been a long journey.

BOLIO 671 09-22-2016 05:24 AM

The revision is definitely working......considering the big boyz that have stepped up to the plate to help u with ur data logging process...

So true. That turbo stang was all over the place trying to hang and fell back like he ran out of gas..lol...

My other favorites is the evo and his awd launch that helped him get ahead, but then how fast you came flying by him about 100 feet later was insane!!!:happydance:

I laid in bed and watched every video twice last night(with sound). My wife was not impressed, but I was.
