I'm still confused how you ran out of 1000IDs at less than 550whp. Some of the turbo guys are pushing past 700who on 1000IDs.

My tuner said it is the pump that can't keep up.

Does the walbro E85 450 fit in the pump assembly? Anyone have one in?

Im very curious to see what the other two guys with the kit will make. I am a bit confused by my tuner as he should have told me last time that we wont be able to go safely to redline even if I get the belt to stop slipping. Which I did by purchasing a new one. My old one lost a couple of ribs from riding the pulley too far to the inside. This new one held up good.

Deep into the 12's AFR up top past 7K..... Isn't that a bit lean for F.I. and risky or is it OK to be at with E85? Are u on UpRev or EcuTek?

***I ask about E85 as its not available where I am from...Highest grade pump is 91 and highest grade available here is MS109 from VP.

E85's resistance to knock is insane. It isn't ideal but we didn't pick up any knock at all. You probably can't do that with pump gas.

You will have plenty of fuel with 91. E85 requires about 30% more than pump gas.

And im on Uprev. My tuner told me to also switch to Ecutek..lol..

Stillen SC kit due to arrive next Tuesday! TopgunZ, is my kit still on track for early June?

Pauly Z 04-29-2016 09:53 AM

Update...so Seb says the cruising logs look great. We are troubleshooting an issue where the transmission gets hung up and doesn't want to shift in 3rd or 4th gear between 3-4k rpm.

Yes sir.

Could we just cut one of these puppies into the charge pipe and keep the water to air setup alive?

frozenboost seems to be all about water to air intercoolers

TopgunZ 04-30-2016 01:24 PM

Will never fit plus your mafs will still be pre charger.

bewhitey 04-30-2016 02:29 PM

Sawzall a hole in the hood and weld a hood scoop on! I thought this was uhmareca! Then put a gol dern maf sensor behind it. Bewhitey water to air kit! comes with 100mph duct tape

(that would probably be a fun project)

Update- So today we were still detecting knock. Seb sent me a tune with only 17 deg advanced WOT and it still knocked. He said that this pretty much confirmed that it was detecting false knock. He said there is absolutely no way it would be knocking on e85 and only 17 deg advanced. He plans on desensitizing my knock sensor and we will try again. Seb said this sometimes happens to supercharged Zs that he has tuned because the blower is attached to the engine and it detects its vibration. On a positive note, I did hit 11 psi today!

Yeah Seb said he has never seen my issue. With the changed torque values in the tune the transmission would get hung up between 3-4k rpms and wouldn't shift. He changed the torque values back to stock and it shifts fine.

I wonder if he was going off of my built trans torque values on yours. Is your stock? At first mine was doing the exact same thing and would take around 15-20 seconds to shift. I would have to let off the pedal a little and it would shift. He has it dialed in perfect now.

Pauly Z 04-30-2016 10:28 PM

That's exactly what mine is doing. It only does it in 3rd or 4th gear

Oh and yes it is stock.
