There's a full SC kit heading in SOHOs direction. Already have some parts en route. It will be a "mild" build keeping the whp under 500 and wheel torque under 400 due to it being an auto trans. Should be great feedback for those AT guys though.

Evan is on a AT and doing over 700 to so it can be done... 😉

I am talking on the stock tranny and not shelling out 5K for a built one.

I believe he has the "super vortech" kit installed.

Just finished installing my TBatt pulley and belt, super easy install. But I'm noticing a moderately audible whine now, between 1-4K RPM. Probably higher as well but exhaust drowns it out.

Is this to be expected, or is something else going on now?

No, it is not expected with the kit. What is your belt tensioner looking like?

It should look like mine in the picture.

This is mine.

Close enough.

What kind of noise is it making? You said a whine but that could be alternator noise.

The only other person that reported a noise was because the belt needed to be broken in. The edge left by cutting off one rib isn't as smooth as the factory cut so it may just need to run for awhile and get broken in.

Hard to explain, and will try and get a clip but the best I could describe is like when an idler pulley is on it's way out.

I did notice a little bit of green on the very 1-2mm edge of the idler pulley you supply when installed. Easily rubbed off with a finger though.

Just got my tune done. Si supercharger with 9 lb pulley. 470 on 91 and 540 on e85.

I want to say thanks to Aaron (a2a), CJM (fuel system), L-Spec (install) and especially Seb@Specialty Z for doing a great tune and putting up with all my questions. He was such a pleasure to work with. Oh yeah, I forgot about TBatt for his tensioner kit. No belt slip at all!
