Just finished installing my TBatt pulley and belt, super easy install. But I'm noticing a moderately audible whine now, between 1-4K RPM. Probably higher as well but exhaust drowns it out.
Is this to be expected, or is something else going on now? |

Close enough.
What kind of noise is it making? You said a whine but that could be alternator noise. The only other person that reported a noise was because the belt needed to be broken in. The edge left by cutting off one rib isn't as smooth as the factory cut so it may just need to run for awhile and get broken in. |
Hard to explain, and will try and get a clip but the best I could describe is like when an idler pulley is on it's way out.
I did notice a little bit of green on the very 1-2mm edge of the idler pulley you supply when installed. Easily rubbed off with a finger though. |
Just got my tune done. Si supercharger with 9 lb pulley. 470 on 91 and 540 on e85.

He was such a pleasure to work with. Oh yeah, I forgot about TBatt for his tensioner kit. No belt slip at all! |
