Give us all the info on your build. SOHO is where I'll be with mine once the new SC kit comes out and I get it self installed.

What pulleys are you going to run?

I was just looking at this video again and noticed that the bpv is mounted vertically. I read some older threads on here saying it could be mounted either vertical or horizontal. Tial says it's designed to be mounted horizontal. Any input?

I have the 9lb stillen pulley and the 2.8 supercharger pulley with a bunch of bigger idler pulleys and Tbats system to avoid any slippage. With the 928 Super Vortech upgrade I plan to spin it much faster so I’m hoping for some really good flow. I will create a diagram of my pulley system after testing to show my final configuration. But we have allot of pulleys to test with and I will report back the best combination and configuration for this setup. I really hope to make about 17psi but i dont know it will be that high since my engine flows real nicely with a lower ported intake manifold and full Motordyne LongTube headers and cat back exhaust. I have no cats on my exhaust system. It will come down to the whole argument of flow vs PSI so all I can do at this point is test and hope for the best.

I'm really curious to see what you get with the different combination of pulleys. Isn't Evan around 700hp? I've got the 9 lb and the 2.87, I'm hoping to get to mid 500's without using them. I've got the Si sc, a2a, tbatt kit and e85 (flex fuel).

Should I run straight pipes with this kit (short tails and test pipes) like I currently am, or should I throw on another aftermarket axleback to create some back pressure?

I just ran across this article yesterday. It should be a sticky. You don't want back pressure, and what you have should be good if you're ok with the sound. From my research, FI and cats just don't work very well. Unless, you have BIG cats, or maybe break them in correctly, or maybe the Fast Intentions Mil Spec cats? In general though, I think most recommend no cats with any form of FI.

This explains back pressure v/s scavenging and why some incorrectly assume back pressure = more HP.

Soho is thinking i will be in the 600 range but we will wait and see. I’m doing all the right things with the fuel upgrades and big injectors. I’m actaully going to run 1350CCs.... I know its a little overkill but just investing for the future.

I'm running the Fast Intentions CBE along with their resonated TP and Mil Spec cats. I am not having any issues with lost boost. I'm still getting 9psi with my setup using the Vortec 2.95 pulley and the A2A system.

Nice job, was that on 93 octane? How are you liking the power difference?

overtureZ 11-18-2017 02:29 PM

Yes sir, 93 pump gas. And I am loving it!
