Default BP turbo build/advice

Stupid question time: on the turbocharger, the vacuum port on the charge side. Is it utilized? Why not use that as the vacuum source for the BOV? It's a closer run than to the UIM.

EDIT: I meant to say BOV and not waste gate.

I wondered about this sane question during my installation. I think it's just more accurate and closer to the engine block itself that's why the instructions say to tap the intake manifold.

The reason for this is that you would have lower IM pressure. There is always a pressure drop across the system (piping and intercooler), and by taking the lines to the compressor cover, (for example) a 9psi spring may yield only 7psi at the manifold.

Since wastegates don't need vacuum and only operate by pressure, the absolute best source for the pressure is just before the TB...which is where the nipple is located on each one of these kits.

Shoot. I meant the BOV.... Instead of tapping the IM, why not urilize that as vacuum source.

Nice. I see you went with safety wire instead of those SS ties. Good choice. If you've never safety tied before shoot me a PM with you number and I'll talk you thru it.

Not at this time, I will reach my goals on 93. I want to finish up the car and see my 500-550 hp and tq in the 400-450 range. My tuner has a heart breaking dyno which will show low numbers. To top it off my brother has a fully built DE and made 500 hp and 499 tq, so the goal is to beat him! He does have a super charger with keelefred high lift cams and a fully built lower end. So it will be close and I cant wait to go to our local track. On top of that, I really am a audiophile so after this build next year I will put in audio. I will go with a five channel amp and have components front and back with a sub. SQ FTW!!

OK officially pissed. I'm having Nissan install my clutch and flywheel. Quoted me last summer for $500. They call me this am and tell me it's another 4 hours to install the cmc. Um........from my reading on here it has to be rebuild or replaced anyways during a clutch install unless they were figuring on using the original slave for the quote instead of my HD slave. I'm pissed and confused. Cmc has the be replaced or rebuilt. Am I wrong or are they screwing me. $800 for clutch install now.......wtf

They are both screwing you and not screwing you.
The CMC replacement IS additional labor.
The CMC replacement SHOULD NOT take 4 hours and there is no way it says that in their service guidance. Should be an additional 1-1.5 hours.

Parts I provided were flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, HD csc, cmc, redline transmission fluid, clutch fluid and insulated clutch line. $1600 just in parts. Southbend stage 3 DD and lightweight steel flywheel. I want to see their book on cmc I agree........ Not happy
