For some reason I am fearing this is really bad......

We started to run the car and at about 3k it started making a loud humming like sound so we stopped. Then we revved it a few times in park. We can feel the vibration it the tunnel and are next to positive it's in the trans! It going back to level ten. If I post anything crazy after 8pm please forgive me, I'm hammered!

Damn... This is crazy. Any possibility a vac hose popped off the tranny somewhere? (I don't know what the AT runs off of on this car.)

That is just weird that the trans just out of nowhere started acting up as such low RPMs. Im curious, as are you I'm sure, what Level ten says happened to it. But if that noise was coming from the trans it was either that or the flex plate. My flex plate on really hot occasions makes a little chatter here and there but nothing like you described.

The last time we ran it we both said something sounded strange at the end of the pull. I'm thinking whatever happened happened then. I have a FI flex plate that is heavy duty so I don't think that is it.

Yeah I have the same flex plate and it chatters. But absolutely doesn't do what you described.

Oh, thats right. It was strange that it sounded like it wasn't building at the same speed as the motor, it seemed to be building faster.

That is so odd. Well hopefully Pat gets it diagnosed, fixed, and back to you quick. I will for sure be waiting to see what he says it was.

Pat was great about it, he only asked for me to pay shipping. He's a very nice guy, the car world could use more people like that.
