If you look at the 2nd pic it's the outside ring of screws.

Oh cool I thought someone on here said you would have to trim stuff to do that. I am definitely going to go this route then.

Haven't had the supercharger to find out for myself. Called Vortech today and they gave me a tracking number. UPS says delivery this thursday!

There is a weld under it that comes close but mine clears it. It is also close to the headlight but you can make it work.

Good to know, thanks. Are you going SD tuning?

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

JWillis72 03-08-2016 07:39 PM

No, we tried but it was giving us fits with the 7AT.

Oh crap. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. Did you talk to Seb?

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

JWillis72 03-08-2016 07:48 PM

Seb is the only guy that has SD tuned one and made it work.

JWillis72 03-08-2016 07:50 PM

Level 10 says it can't be done but Seb did it for StillenZ84s car.

Pauly Z 03-08-2016 07:53 PM

What do you think I should do then? Your car runs good with Mafs?

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Pauly Z 03-08-2016 07:54 PM

I don't want to dump a grand on the ecutek and it not work.

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

JWillis72 03-08-2016 08:02 PM

You can still MAF tune on ecutek, that's what we are doing.

Yeah, true

Just wait a couple weeks and install the pre proven, pre built kit. All maf tune with no erratic maf issues.

No argument there! This process has been a nightmare, if I was thinking about starting this now I would be waiting for you kit!

Unfortunately I have already purchased intercooler and piping. We have just been waiting for the charger to get back. Vortech took like two weeks with it and didn't even tell me they shipped it. I had to call them yesterday.

Yeah, so glad I ran across this post... Hopefully 90% of my nightmares will be solved :)

Better. 100% will be! I will make videos and take pictures for viewing before taking any funds.

Numonik 03-09-2016 09:36 AM

:) Even better! Now if I could just solve for the rest of the car hahaha

JWillis72 03-12-2016 08:33 PM

My car is still acting up, the AFR was bouncing from 13s - 16s and will not take a tune. We reset the VVEL and the AFR corrected itself and now the MAF voltage are way off from bank to bank.

Z&I 03-13-2016 05:00 PM

oh - no

what could possibly happen next ... ?
feelin' the pain - there's gotta be a solution !!!

JWillis72 03-13-2016 05:14 PM

We are going to try the air volume relearn again tomorrow but it hasn't been working. You need to run the car with the back one MAF off for 5 sec. but the car starts and instantly dies every time we try. We haven't tried it after the VVEL reset so hopefully that changed something.

Z&I 03-16-2016 02:18 PM

Just a long shot in the dark ... did you set the BOV for recirculating ???
Thats the original Stillen configuration ...
Don't know how much this matters.

JWillis72 03-16-2016 02:23 PM

No it's venting to atmosphere. We just did a pull to 4,500 and it looks good but the tuner is getting on a flight again so we are dead in the water tonight.

With a blow through it doesn't matter if its recirc or not. The only thing it does if you plumb it back into the intake is quiet down the bpv noise.

JWillis72 03-16-2016 03:12 PM

The car kept dumping fuel before when we were doing pulls, it would go off the chart rich. This pull to 4K looks a lot better. We are waiting to hear from the tuner but I also demanded that they send Seb the file to look at. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...75c361e673.jpg

The afr does look good. Im guessing your not advancing timing at this point.

JWillis72 03-16-2016 03:44 PM

No, it's just a base tune.

If anyone can figure it out im hoping Seb can.

JWillis72 03-17-2016 04:19 PM

I was just emailing him back and we were talking about your car. It's funny he acts like SD tuning our 7AT is no big deal but the guy that built them thinks it's impossible. He clearly knowns these cars better than most.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

StillenZ84 03-17-2016 04:30 PM

Yeah Seb has amazed me with his knowledge. He told me he has used SD on many of our cars with no problems so yeah he obviously knows something other tuners don't. Pat was pretty impressed and said I was the first he knew of being 7AT and having SD. haha

I feel like the shop is fighting me on Seb being involved but that's not happening !

Wow you would think they would want it out of their shop as quick as possible.

**** that. It's their cash cow. :wtf2:

Just kidding Willis. I want to see this thing back on the track badly.

JWillis72 03-18-2016 07:28 AM

Am I correct that the Stillen PBV closes around 4,000 rpm on a full throttle pull?

It should close as soon as its full throttle, if your going full throttle from 2000rpm and the bpv isn't closing until 4000rpm, then theres a BPV issue.

JWillis72 03-18-2016 08:47 AM

Okay then that's not it. They are telling me they can't figure out why the car is adding fuel at 4,200, I was thinking that might be when the car went to boost and the fuel pressure started ramping up. I just realized hes not using rpm on this one, i don't know why its on mph this time.

TopgunZ 03-18-2016 12:44 PM

Maybe its not adding fuel but its losing air, causing it to go pig rich. If your bpv is getting blown open then that could happen.

RadioFlyer 03-18-2016 01:02 PM

^ If you have a boost gauge, that should tell you if you have a leak somewhere along the charge pipe.
