sorry to revive from the dead....just read about updating the tranny mount. Im running completely stock motor, so the trans wont be under any extra pressure. do you guys think ill be good without running a new one. I plan on changing it later if and when the csc fails

You need to lower the rear of the tranny to remove the old shifter cradle, might as well put in a new poly mount at the same time. Too easy.

It is only two bolts holding the mount on.

If they follow the instructions I posted they won't have any issues with installation, and I didn't even lower the transmission to install mine (although would've saved 20 minutes of cursing and banged up fingers)

Just wondering, is anyone still experiencing rattling with this shifter? Has anyone been able to remedy the rattling?

Yes. The rattling is horrible. 3rd and 4th gear after 3k rpm, the reverse lockout internal cable is rattling/vibrating the hell out of its external. I contacted coolerworx twice and received no response. The rattle legitimately makes the Z undriveable in 3rd and 4th gear; the sound is beyond distracting and into the realm of "drives you batsh*t."

I'm pulling this trash shifter out and installing something that doesn't make me want to tear my ears off. It's a damn shame bc aside from the rattle the shifter is great.

I'm pretty sure mine does it every now and then... but after having it so long I either subconsciously tune it out or my music drowns it out.
