The best fitting vented fenders.

Stock fenders with hand cut vents. So close to being done. Should finish up by next weekend. All credit goes to Exclusive Auto Design in Indianapolis.

I can't really comment on the price. It is a one off kind of job, he quoted me a price and is sticking to it, but it has been way more time and work than expected. I'm sure he wouldn't do it again for what I'm paying.

He was having problems getting the vent to form to all the contours with the fender off the car and had to do it with it on the car and eventually ended up having to make a vertical cut as seen to make it work out. The plan all along was to use glass to fill in and make the vents. I imagine it will hold the shape better than welding and adding heat.

If all goes as planned, I'll pick her up Saturday.

Those look good man, I was wondering the ame thing about not using metal instead of the FG, but makes sense. I have been looking at doing something like this myself, and seeing the pics you posed I think just changed my mind lol. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Using OEM fenders gives always the perfect finish. Ours v1 fenders are done same way when we started but later made a vented part as in mold and now just join it. From pics job might seems easy but once you cut and move the part in whole fender liner moves out so there is a gap and then working on that metal work. It does take good a day or day and a half to do something like this
